CHAPTER 1: The Surface

After telling toriel you will stay with her, you told her you would meet her at the bottom of the mountain, and that you just needed to talk to a friend before you leave. Walking back inside the familiar castle you see someone waiting outside for you

[Pronouns: all

"Lynn! Good to see you waited for me!"

"How could I leave without you? You've been my friend since you entered the ruins!"

"Heheh! Yeah, you ready to go?"

"Hell yeah I am!"

"Then let's head out"

You and Lynn start walking back to the ruins and to the place frisk fell down. There you see in the middle of the room a flower sitting in the bean of sun drooping down. You look at Lynn and the two share a small nod. You then start walking over to the flower and say hello

"Flowey, were back"

*He quickly turns around with a pure surprised look on his face.

"What are you doing here, I told you to leave me here."

"We came to bring you to the surface"

"But why? I hurt you, I hurt everyone! I'm nothing but a danger to everyone."

"Flowey, without you the barrier wouldn't still be up, remember you broke it flowey. Not me"

"Yeah so what! I still hurt everyone. Now because of me the human souls are gone and everyone hates me. I mean I don't blame them I ALMOST KILLED YOU!"

"But the point is that you didn't. You hesitated and let me help you, you accepted that I'm not Chara and made it up to me and everyone else by freeing all of us!"

"..."

*Flowey looks up at you tearing up, it seems he's starting to forgive himself just a little bit

"Now, you ready to see the surface?"

"But how will you be sure I don't hurt anybody"

"Like this!"

*Lynn pulls out a flower pot and small gardening shovel

"A flower pot?"

"Yeah! This way you'll be safe and so is everyone else!"

". . . Thank you"

*You and Lynn dog up a bit of dirt and put it in the pot, then plant the little yellow flower inside

"We all ready to head back?"

"Yep! Even if we forgot something everyone will have to come back for our belongings anyway"

"Alright! Let's go!"

*The two of you head back with flowey and eventually get back to the surface, you see toriel waiting down the path.

"We're back mom!"

"It's getting dark my children! What took you so long?"

"We had one last person to save"

*Toriel gives you a confused look for a moment, then notices flowey in the little pot

"Oh! How sweet of you!"

*She looks over at flowey

"And how are you dear?"

"I'm fine. .!"

*You notice he seems a bit tired, makes sense knowing how much he's been through today. You all begin to head to the nearby village where you used to live. You tell everyone to stay outside the village and you will go get the leader. you head into the familiar town passing the bed of golden flowers by your favorite Park. Eventually you make it to the town center and walk inside the large building. Inside you see a receptionist who notices you and greets you fondly

"Here to talk to the leader?"

"Mmhm!"

"Alrighty go on in"

*You walk into a room and see a beautiful woman sitting at a desk and typing into a computer. There's a nameplate on the desk reading: Mrs. Ann.

"Mrs. Ann"

*She spins in her chair and faces towards you

"Hey kiddo what's up?"

"I have some people you need to meet"

"Need or want"

"Need, this is very important"

"Got it"

*She stands up and grabs her coat, and the two of you walk out the room.

"Lead the way kid"

*You take her to the end of town to the path leading from the mountain. There you see your friends waiting for you.

"Everyone this is Mrs. Ann! Mrs. Ann meet the monsters"

*Toriel walks forward and shakes hands with Ann

"I see the barrier that was created long ago had finally broken correct?"

"Yes frisk here fell into the underground and with a friend broke the barrier."

"Wonderful! Let me bring you to the side of town waiting for you"

(For context: the monsters and humans found a way using the cores energy to communicate, and the humans had been trying to find a way to free the monsters for about 3 years. All the deaths of the fallen human souls were before any of this was even spoken about. In these 3 years the town has been expanded for the monsters to live among the town! Frisk knows the leader because before frisk fell they were in foster homes due to their parents going missing, Mrs. Ann had taken care of her many times and is like an aunt to frisk!)

*Everyone follows Ann to the west s of town, where many houses are waiting for them. Everyone walks around a bit and eventually everyone chooses and estate to live in! You head to your new home with toriel, Lynn and flowey, and choose your rooms!

"Hey Flowey"

"What?"

"You seem a bit tired, would you like to rest before we go back for everyone's stuff?"

"Yeah, plus it's already night out so it's best we go in the day"

"Mmhm, Mrs. Ann said that there's a couple of air mattresses in the hall way closet, I can sleep on one of those and so can mom and Lynn"

"Alright then"

*You head to the hallway closet and grab one of 3 air mattresses and a small automatic pump. You blow up the mattress and lay in your temporary bed, you begin to close your eyes and fall asleep.
