before u start this there are vague mentions of injuries like scrapes and cuts and bruises so if any of it makes you uncomfortable please don't read this or skip past the parts

You wake up in a strange room. It's beige and smells like tea. To your right, there's a person. You can't make out who it is because your vision is blurry. What happened? The last thing you remember before waking up was...

A deep voice snaps you out of your thoughts "Ah. You're awake. Good."You stare at the figure blankly."..who? Where?" Those were the only words you could manage, for your entire body was sore and your mind was completely blank. As your vision starts coming back, you see the figure pour something in a cup. He looks at you, his hair is dark brown and long, dyed orange at the tips, his eyes are mesmerizing, almost as if they were glowing. Perhaps they were, who knows. "How rude of me not to introduce myself, I'm Zhongli, Wangsheng Funeral Parlours consultant." He stops for a second then chuckles. "Don't worry, you're not in the afterlife. This is my room. I merely happened to bump- well, see, you on the ground unconscious surrounded by monsters."

The short-lived series of events goes through your head. "oh. Right, uh.. thanks"

You turn your head back to the ceiling. Zhonglis face pops into your field of view, "drink this, it's tea that acts as a painkiller, unfortunately I wasn't able to get any proper ones at Bubu pharmacy, but you're fine with me using traditional methods right?" He smiles."uh uh uh yeah that's fine ahah." Suddenly your brain is bouncing around your head. His smile was all you needed to heal, pain killer? No, a handsome dudes smile. It felt like the pain had went away until you tried to move your arm. It stung, it felt like someone had dropped a heavy weight on you. Seeing you wince, Zhongli helped you sit up and slowly fed you the tea. It tasted sweet, smelled like ginger, and had a faint smell of some other herbs you couldn't name off the top of your head. His hand was on the back of your waist the entire time, but you only noticed after he moved away. As he refilled the cup, the feeling of his hand on your waist lingered. And as he brought you the cup to feed you again, you had hoped for his hand to come up to your waist again. To your dismay, he did not, but that was fine you thought.
"If you found me on the ground unconscious, why did you take me to your house and not to a medical facility?" The realization popped into your head.

He brought his hand up to the back of his neck.
"uh well...they were fully occupied for whatever reason and bringing you to the funeral parlour would most likely result in having you run out the moment you awoke. I'm not sure how long it'll take before you're able to move and walk again. Considering you can barely move your hands now. But now that you're awake- if it's alright with you of course, I can get medicine from Bubu Pharmacy."

You were fine with him leaving you alone for a bit, it's not like you didn't trust him.

"And why did you not get any while I was asleep?"

"I was reluctant to leave you alone, especially if you awoke while I was absent. Now, if I may excuse myself." He smiled at you once more and rose, he was significantly taller than you originally thought."Would you like anything while I'm out? I will personally pay for it." There was nothing you really wanted at the moment, so you shook your head just enough for Zhongli to see.

When he gave a nod of approval and left, you laid back and closed your eyes but couldn't fall asleep. Why? Zhonglis face was stuck in your head, the feeling of his hand on your back was still lingering, you felt something similar in the past with someone else but for Zhongli it was much more profound. Since you couldn't sleep, your eyes wandered around the room, there were gold dragon decorations on the wall, a couple of burning incense sticks on the table next to you, a pile of books and a rather large window. There was also a wallet, which you didn't think much of until you realized nobody has been in here except Zhongli, which could only mean one thing. He forgot his wallet. You moved your head back in an attempt to sleep, but the thought of him leaving for this long without his wallet worried you.
