Garfield

This day sucked for Garfield. His favourite Italian place was closed so he couldn't get lasagna. He could've always gone to the Italian place downtown but their lasagna sucked in his opinion.

He went home instead of trying to find a place. He was going to be a little late for the interview with the administration to if he could get the job.

Racing home in his Audi, he opened the door and started gathering his stuff to head to the highschool.

When he got there, the guy wasn't there. "Nice of you to join us. I hope you don't plan on being this late to school everyday." A voice spoke behind him. He turned around to see a man in his late 40's. "N-no sir I won't be. My alarm didn't go off at the right time. It was my fault. It will never happen again I swear!"

He was panicking thinking that he would have to apply somewhere else. This was the closest school to him. Then again, if it was for teaching, he'd go anywhere. (But not to Nebraska. Hell no) (a/n: please understand this reference)

The man chuckled. "It's okay haha. My name is Mr. Fernandez. Welcome to Matter High." He held out his hand to Garfield for him to shake.

He shook his hand and awkwardly asked, "So um about the interview?" Mr. Fernandez smiled and directed him to a room. Not in a sus way tho.

"So Mr......?" Garfield noticed what he was doing and, in a rush, said, "Garfield. I don't go by my last name." The man nodded in an understanding way.

"Okay, Mr. Garfield. As I can see, even though you are fairly very young, you did pass the tests. From my understanding, you want to be a," He started shuffling through some papers, "A language arts teacher, correct?"

Garfield nodded his head. "Yes sir. I do but if there are any teaching jobs that aren't language arts open, then I'll be glad to take those." Mr. Fernandez looked up. "Eager to teach as well. Hm... Well lucky for you, Mrs. King is leaving for Florida tomorrow so you can take her job I guess."

Garfield's face brightened upon hearing this. He tried to calm himself in order to seem more professional and asked, "so when do I start?" He felt stupid for asking because Mr. Fernandez had said she was leaving tomorrow.

"Seeing as she is leaving tomorrow AFTER school, you'll start Tuesday." Garfield nodded his head, "Okay sounds great!"

"I'm sure we can say all this is over. I will see you Tuesday morning, Mr. Garfield." They both shook hands again and Garfield left the building. When he got into his car, he started joyfully screaming.

"YEAH! HELL YEAH I GOT THE FUCKIN JOB!!!!!" He couldn't contain his excitement.
He got home and flopped on his bed. He couldn't wait to tell his roommate, Atlas.

He waited for Atlas so he could scream to them about it. He and Atlas have been buddies since grade 3 so he knew they would be happy for him. (Seeing as he's wanted to be a teacher since grade 1.)

The brunette walked through the door, only to get knocked down but a tall man. (barely even a man coz he turned 22 a month ago) "Atlas!! I have to tell you something scree!"

Atlas got the tall man child off them. "What?" They asked out of breath, looking up at the 6'5 childlike figure.

"I got the job...." Atlas was waiting for him to say just kidding but there was no evidence on his face saying he would. Their expression changed from out of breath to happiness in the matter if two seconds.

"OMG WE HAVE TO CELEBRATE!" Atlas said. "WAIT WHEN DO YOU START!?" Garfield chuckled at their behaviour. "I start Tuesday so a celebration tonight won't effect that at all. What bar do you want to head to?"

Atlas shook their head. "Not a bar. There is this party down the road. College kids and senior high schoolers will be there. Only seniors though because there will be a lot of drinking."

Garfield looked at them and started saying, "No. No no no no no no no! I can't go to that party if high schoolers are there. I am going to be their teacher! If they see me like this then I'll get a bad reputation!!"

"Come onnnnn. It's a celebration. They'll all be too drunk to remember anyways! You'll be fine." Atlas complained. "No I can't. Sorry Atlas but let's just go to a normal bar."

"Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaseeeee." They asked again. "Nope."

40 minutes later...

'how the hell did I get here?' Garfield thought to himself. They were both walking up to the front door of a large house. "I'm not even in college anymore so I don't think I can be here." Garfield whispered to the exited person next to him. "Oh please Gar. You graduated a year early so you can pass for a senior in college and I'm still in that school so I can be here. We're fine"

They finally got to the door and Atlas rang the bell. A man with curly dark brown hair opened the door. "My name is Jon and welcome to Mi Casa. Have a great time at my party guys!"

'this is gonna be "great".' Garfield thought sarcastically.
