I just want to say a few things about this story.
-The dorm system will be different as it's a shared dorm this time, so each person gets a roommate?
-Ayanokoji doesn't have any emotional ties to the white room. He's grateful for the skills he's learned but doesn't really want to go back there and doesn't really care if people know it. That said, he isn't going to reveal it either.
-Chabashira isn't informed about Ayanokoji from the chairman
-I'm going to try to focus more on the slice of life element as Ayanokoji isn't forced into striving for class A.
-Lastly, Ayanokoji won't have his cold hearted nature. I'll be honest I don't how to write this side of him without it sounding horrible and cringy, so I hope you understand.
_______
_______Ayanokoji POV:
I made my way to my classroom. 'Class 1-D'.
By the time I arrived at the classroom, quite a few people had already gathered; some were even already talking with each other. Looking around, I found the seat with my nameplate on it. It was located at the back of the classroom, next to the window.
It was a good seat, generally speaking. Although I did find it a little odd why I was placed there considering the usual seating patterns based on class rosters, in which case I would certainly be one of the first students on the roster, I was glad I managed to get this kind of seat.
Seating there would allow me to observe the class from a distance and I wouldn't stand out too much either.
Placing my bag on the hook of the desk, I took another look at the people already in the classroom.
As I sat down, I cluelessly viewed my classmates forming cliques and establishing a camaraderie between them. I recalled reading a social interaction where an introvert finds himself in battle when finding a partner for a school project or something.
Students were either looking at their class materials by themselves or were talking to acquaintances and friends.
The black haired girl from earlier was also here. She was seated near the front and was reading a book. What an unpleasant coincidence...
Considering what happened earlier, I think it's better if I just leave her alone instead of trying to talk to her again. If I were to try to talk to her again, it'll probably end with her insulting my entire existence once more.
Besides, she did say she didn't want to waste time talking to somebody like me.
Now, what should I do? Should I get to know people during this free time? Sitting a few seats in front of me, a chubby boy seemed lonely all by himself (my selfish imagination).
He gave off an aura of that screamed, "Someone talk to me and be my friend!" (again, my selfish imagination)
However... if you suddenly walked up to someone and talked to them they would probably feel bothered.
Do you wait for the right time then? No, by then, he would probably be surrounded by enemies, and there's a high chance I'll become friendless.
As I expected, I should talk...
Wait, wait, don't be hasty.
If I carelessly jump in and talk to the unknown student, I might be beaten by someone else.
This is useless, a negative spiral...
In the end, I couldn't talk to anybody, and with the way things were going, I would soon be left all alone.
