"Congratulations it's twins" the doctor announced coming out of the O.T. a blissful smile flashed on Rahul's face.
"Really?" he asked excitedly the doctor nodded with a smile....Rahul looked at Vivek and Sara. They smiled at him "congratulations buddy" said Vivek and hugged him.
"Thank you," he said
"Can I see them?" he asked turning towards the doctor.
"You can after we'll shift them into the ward," said the doctor and left.

Rahul entered the ward with slow steps followed by Vivek and Sara....Ria was sleeping peacefully...and beside her bed lied a cradle...taking slow steps he walked towards the cradle....there lied to babies sleeping peacefully....red & chubby cheeks...small nose...red lips...looking like angels....rahul frowned realising that the doctor said they were twins but they have no similar features.
"Doctor?" He turned towards the doc who had just come to examine ria.
"You said it was twins but...." He said pointing at the babies.
"Yes Mr Malhotra they are twins..." he said with a warm smile
"But they......"
"Don't look alike?" The doctor completed his words he nodded.
"Coz they are fraternal twins," he said Rahu frowned in confusion.
"Fraternal twins?" Asked Vivek. The doctor nodded "Fraternal twins are also called dizygotic twins. They result from the fertilization of two separate eggs during the same pregnancy." He said everyone made an 'oh' face.
"Fraternal twins may be of the same or different sexes. They share half of their genes just like any other siblings." The doctor added
"Means there is no common physical feature in them they are just siblings," asked Sara
The doctor nodded "Fraternal twins are just siblings who share the same womb" he said and walked away.

" so what are we naming them?" asked Vivek after helping Sara sit on the sofa.. she is pregnant.
"I don't know...ask her" Rahul pointed towards ria
"Me?" She asked
"Yeah...you are the mother," he said...she nodded and looked at the baby she was holding....and looked at the other one which was in Rahul's arms...Rahul gave him to her who looked at both faces thinking.
