From what Shigaraki and Himiko had told me, Dabi's room should be the last one on the left. I padded down the hall softly, my socks shuffling on the cold, wooden floor.

The last door on the left was closed, but I could see the faint glow of a desk lamp spilling onto the floor, illuminating the rich brown of the wood.

I knocked on the door softly.

No answer at first, but I heard some shuffling as someone got up. A shadow blocked the light spilling under the door. I heard a click as the door opened to reveal Dabi.

"Hello," I said brightly, waving hi. "Can I come in? Himi-chan abandoned me."

Dabi blinked. "Uh, sure," he asked, opening the door a bit wider. I walked inside.

Dabi's room was simple. A desk, a lamp, a bed, a closet. Nothing really personal here. I wish he would be more open with the L.O.V, especially Tomura, Himiko, and Kurogiri. They think of him as family, he should do the same.

I took a seat on the bed as Dabi closed the door behind me with a click. He sat down on the spinnable chair, straddling it.

"What did you need, (Y/N)," Dabi asked. He had gotten a bit less colder over the hours I've been here.

I hummed for a bit, thinking of what I should ask. "Do you know if Shoto has another older brother," I asked as a starter question.

Dabi narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "Why are you so interested in the Todorokis? You don't seem to be that close with Shoto."

My eyebrows raised before I could help myself. He called Shoto by his first name, and it seemed so natural. Dabi seemed to realize this as well as he tried to cover up his mistake.

"Did you really expect me to just call him Todoroki. There are a lot of Todorokis, of course I'm gonna call him by his first name."

I nodded my head without a word. "So many Todorokis, yet most of them don't resemble their father." I murmured this softly, but loud enough for Dabi to hear. I wanted to gauge his reaction.

His eyes widened slightly before glaring at me. I think he knows that I'm taunting him, trying to get a reaction.

"Maybe Endeavor's genes burn themselves before manifesting," he growled lowly.

I sighed. "Fine, I'll get to the point. Are you a Todoroki?" I leaned forwards curiously as Dabi groaned, running a hand down his face.

"No, of course not. There aren't any other Todorokis, are there?"

"But that could easily be explained," I said, flipping my notebook open.

Dabi paused to stare at me.

"My healing quirk allows me to see someone's past injuries," I explained as I scribbled in my book. "From the day that they were born, to their real looks, to their DNA. I can analyze all of this from their body's composition."

I saw Dabi pale. I placed a hand on his reassuringly.

"Hey, it's okay. I'm not gonna tell anyone," I said. "I just want to understand why you did what you did, and why Shoto seems to hate his father so much. And your relationship with, uh," I didn't want to say Hawks in case it confused him. "I'll talk about that later," I said sheepishly.

Dabi sighed, nodding his head. "Then explain why you think I'm a Todoroki," he said, still refusing to give me a straight answer.

It's fine, I'll play your little game.

"Well, let's start off at the beginning," I said. "Your DNA is similar to Endeavor and Shoto's. You're quirk, Cremation, super edgy by the way, is similar to Hellflame. Other than being hotter and blue in color, it's almost identical. Your weak skin can be explained by your mother's ice quirk. It would be the reason for your burnt scars.
