Max Hillers.
There was a pounding knock at the door, which destroyed my beautiful sleep. I groan and stir in my bed. "No! Go away!"
"Max." I heard Caroline's stern voice exclaim from the other side of the door, which made me fall down to the floor in startle, ruining my comfortable position I've been trying to get all night.
"Fuck!" I whisper to myself.
"Uh...Uhm...Y-yes! Sorry! I didn't mean that! I thought you were someone else!" I exclaim back as I pinch my eyes shut and curse some swear words under my breath again.
"Oh no, it's okay, darling." I heard her sooth, which makes me confused. So...she's not angry? And I'm not in trouble? "I just was here to tell you that a visitor was here to meet you downstairs at the lobby. I suggest you get changed and go down."
Before I could reply, I heard her footsteps walk away.
I furrow my eyebrows. A visitor? Here? To meet me? Who could it be? I know that it can't be Kai. I mean, he'd just walk up to my door and knock. So...who is it?
-
I decided to just throw a oversized grey jacket and black ATLANTA sweatpants with my fluffy grey house slippers as I throw my hair in a messy bun after I brush and freshen up, too lazy to dress fancy just to go down.
I didn't dress fancy for another reason too. It can't be someone important. I'm pretty sure Caroline, Paul, or someone would tell me about it.
I walk out of the elevator and scan the lobby, trying to find any familiar faces. My hands were in my jacket. I furrow my eyebrows as I don't find any. Other than the security and random families.
That was until, I see a girl sitting on the sofa with her legs thrown on the coffee table as she scans the place, making my eyes light up. As if on time, she looks back at me, an immediate smile taking on her face.
"Max!" She exclaims as she gets up and runs to me, throwing her arms around my neck as I stumble back a bit.
Oh, god. Not hugs. I just keep my arms to my side and pat her back one or twice, chuckling at the end. What is she doing here?
"Wha-what are you doing here?" I say as she breaks away from the hug. "I...didn't expect to see you here, wow."
"Well," she says as she puts her hands on her hips, "That's what surprises are for, aren't they?" Which makes us chuckle. My eyes travel back to where she was sitting and I see a black suitcase there.
"Looks like you'll be staying here for a while." I say, almost questioningly, looking back at her, seeing an immediate frown catch her face.
"Do you...not want me to stay?" She says sadly, "I mean," he points to the hotel h entrance behind her. "I can leave-"
"No!" I suddenly protest with my eyes wide, "No, no! I didn't mean it like that! I was just saying that...I'm just shocked to see you. I'm glad you're staying. I could use some company around here."
My insides relax as I see a smile forming her face again. But before she could reply, the faint sounds of people yelling suddenly rings in our ears, making all of ours, including the random families, heads turn to the main entrance.
We watch as there is a huge crowd of girls, with flashing phones and camera men, surround a few people as they fight their way in the hotel. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion until I realize what was happening.
