March 31, 20XX

As a child, I was always taught that everyone was equal, and that people cared about one another. My father showed me the beauty of people and the world. He would tell stories during our long fishing trips about his travels around the world. When my brother and I would ask about any place in the world, he would have a story. We would spend hours in the boat floating and laughing.

My mother was a wonderful woman. She taught me how to cook and to care for people I love. On stormy nights she would hold us close and tells us stories until we fell asleep. She taught me how to use the quirk I inherited from her. She always made time for my brother and me.

I was closest to my brother, Genji. We would go swimming and exploring every day. Things were great. He introduced me to the world of heroes. I wanted to be just like them. I loved heroes so much that I worked hard to get into UA to become one myself. Not only that, but I met people, future heroes, that are now looked at as peacemakers here to stop the dregs of society. Hell, I met the love of my life because of heroes. Life back then was simple, how I wish life was still like that.

Things changed. My eyes were open to the darker side of human nature. My second Cousin Conner showed that to me. I'd moved to the UK with him and his family when I was 15. As we spent the next 10 years together growing, he became rotten. By the age of 17 he'd started his own gang of crooks, me as his right-hand man at 16. At 22, he'd become one of the UK's most wanted criminals.

He taught me that the world was not so black and white. Instead, the lines between good and bad are faded and gray. There are exceptions to the rules depending on who does what. Some people get thrown under the bus while others get to take a ride.

I'd mentioned that I'd met the love of my life because of heroes. I'd also lost him because of them. Although, I don't blame every hero for his death, just the corrupt ones who had a part in it. Not every hero is corrupt, some are just there for the fame and don't care.

Life happens and people change, no one stays the same. People often change more than once. I changed when I met Max, when we adopted our son and when Max was murdered. I changed when I took over the Japan branch of Conner's now large empire of crime. My son became the only thing of importance to me.

As the head of his Japan branch, I was tasked with negotiations with other organizations such as the League of Villains, the Shie Hassaikai and other groups. I was known as the Modifier, Morph for short. My quirk allows me to change any part of my body into whatever is needed at the time. Many times, I used it disguise myself as someone else. It was a useful ability.

Then my life changed. It was my cousin's work that led me to meet him, or rather it was the work I did for him. As cliché as it sounds, I was saved by a hero. My hero wasn't one of those tall and handsome ones like in the movies. My hero was 5'7, had long reddish hair, and was 14 years old. His name was Jiro Ken, and he was my second adopted son, he was my hero.
