"Kisses!" I wrapped my arms around Alfie's neck."I'll miss you Lil' one. You know that!" He ruffled my bed head and kissed me. "Stay out of trouble!" Holding back the tears, I waved goodbye. I don't blame him. LA is an amazing place. Plus, we all need a brake sometimes. Looking after our own baby daughter can be a handfull sometimes. I was so nervous. I don't know why but I did. What would he get up to? Would he get drunk and cheat? Would he...get hurt? God, I feel like an overprotective mother!I need to let him go. He's almost 30 for christ's sake! With one last wave and one last tear, he left the house. A moment later,the VROOM of a car echoed through the streets. Don't look. don't look, I said to myself. I couldn't help it-I swung my head around and thrust open the door. "ALFIE!" I yelled. "Even if you won't see me for a week.Just remember...I'm there with you!"
