Third Person. No one's POV

It was 3:54 in the morning and, Ryoma Hoshi was outside of a hospital room waiting for the doctors or nurses ok to go in and see his wife and his newborn baby.

Hoshi was excited as he was nervous.

He was ready to be a dad but, he was worried at the same time.

What if she gets Hurt?

What if something happens to her?

What if-

"Mr. Hoshi?"

Just then, he snapped out of his thoughts as he looked up at the nurse who was calling him. "A-ah yes" he replied his breath shaky.

"Um, we have some good news and bad news."

His heart began to sink at that. "G- Good news first, please," He asked as his bones stiff.

"Well, the good news is that you have a beautiful, healthy baby girl."

He sighed in relief. His daughter was ok. She's fine. But then he realize that there was still the bad news.

"A-and what's the bad news?" Hoshi said nervously.

The nurse sighed then said one sentence that made his heartbreak.

"Your wife... sadly died minutes after she gave birth due to blood loss. We did everything we could to save her but to no avail. We are all so sorry for your loss."

...

....

.....

"No..." he whispered under his breath quietly.

"We are truly sorry for your loss sir." The nurse said apologetically. There he sat in silence trying, to take in the information he was just told.

"I know it's a lot to take in and, we still need to run a few more tests on the baby so, we will let you know when you can come in to see your daughter ok?"

...

"...Ok thank you"

And there he was all alone again and, the only company he has at the moment was his thoughts.

This all felt like a dream no, a nightmare except it's not all bad. But still didn't change the fact that...

The fact that Kirumi is now gone. She's dead. And now he'll never get to see her again. And now, all he can do is look back on all the precious memories they made together.

He remembered the day he met Kirumi at hopes Peaks. He was a bit unsure about the Ultimate maid but, he'd never admitted it, but the moment he laid eyes on her he thought that she was absolutely beautiful.

He also remembered when he realized that he was in love with her. It was the start of their second year at hopes peak when this happened. Before he found out, he thought he could never love again after the mafia incident but Kirumi had proved him wrong.

He remembered all the first times they shared. But Ryoma still remembers all the first times that he had stolen from her.

He felt he took everything from her and, now he never had the chance to give it back.

Hoshi was so lost in thought that he didn't realize that the door beside him had opened.

"Mr. Hoshi?" A nurse called out.

He sighed and looked up at him. "Yes?" "Your daughter is ready to see you."

...

...

"Alright"

As Hoshi walked into the hospital room he felt a bit uncomfortable with how white the room was. The room was also extremely clean but that wasn't a problem for him. As he did marry the Ultimate maid a woman who wasn't satisfied with herself until she a room was spotless so he had gotten used to it.

As he reminisced he saw her. Kirumi's lifeless body...

"We will bring your daughter in a few minutes ok sir?" the nurse asked. "Ok thank you." The nurse smiled as he left the room leaving him alone with Kirumi's dead body.

Ryoma walked over to the chair beside her bed and sat down. All he could do is stare at her as she just lie there. Her expression was surprisingly calm.

He grabbed her hand and then started with a "Hey Rumi."

"I... I'm sorry that I was in here with you earlier." Hoshi said as he smiled and messed with the ring on her finger.

"But our baby is alive and healthy. So there's no need to worry bout her."

"I hope they let you hold her before... before you died..." Ryoma said with a sad smile.

He sighed and picked up her cold hand and gave it a small kiss. "I'm sorry... for everth-"

Just then there was a knock on the door. He sighed then got up from the chair he was sitting on, walked over to the bench, and sat down. "Come in."

When the door opened it revealed a nurse holding a very small child. The nurse taught Hoshi how to hold the baby, then finally he had his daughter in his arms. " Since your daughter is healthy you will be able to take her home today. When you two are ready just ring the bell on the right side of the bed." Then the nurse left without another word.

He sighed before looking at his daughter. She had the same "basketball orange" hair like him. And she was quite small but not to the point where it was unnatural. Her face was a mix of both his and Kirumi's, his button-like nose but Kirumi's face shape.

Then she opened her eyes. Her eyes... Her eyes were the same green tea color as Kirumi's. Kirumi's eyes always brought Comfort to Ryoma but right now was all her eyes were doing was plunging him into sadness. And reminding him that he will never get to see his lover again.

Then he did something that he hated doing. He started crying. He couldn't hold his tears back. His breath got caught in his throat as he sobbed, his little girl snuggled in his chest, falling back asleep.

With a shaky breath, he asked, "why... why did you have to die."
