The Binding of Isaac: The Adventure

The Jump Down

"Isaac, wake up.", a voice said down to him. "Isaac, wake up, now.", the voice said to him, even louder than before. Then the voice started screaming at him. Isaac, hearing the voice, jumped up and screamed. "Isaac, my name is Gaper. I am here to help you, and all of my other people want to kill you, as they heard there was a "guest". Here, eat this pill, and see what happens." The Gaper handed him a fully-red pill. Isaac ate it, and his eyes just felt light. He blinked, and a wet sphere flew out of his eyes. Isaac jumped up. He was startled, and he backed against a wall. The Gaper walked up to him, put his hand on Isaac's shoulder, and said; "Don't worry, everything will be alright, I will be behind you. I will go to a secluded area, so I will mean no harm to you. Those tears are your weapons now."

So Isaac, gettimg himself calm, watched the Gaper walk away, and Isaac looked around at the four doors. Isaac wiped the sweat from his head, and he walked through the North Door. Instantly, the door suddenly slammed shut behind him. He jumped, and a cloud of smoke came in. Once the cloud subsided, four spiders came down. Isaac jumped, and blinked, shot his tears at a spider, and completely drowned the spider with it. "W-what the heck, what is this place, and what are the-ese people and other, uhh, t-t-things? They're scary...", Isaac said to himself. He saw a room made of gold, as he thought something might be in there. "What is this place?", Isaac thought. "And what is that t-thing?" It seemed to be an eye, with a metallic surrounding. He picked it up, and put it on his head. His finger accidentally turned on the item. There seemed to be a screen inside.

"INITIATING ENGAGEMENT", the item said on the screen. Isaac jumped because he wasn't knowing what it was. "TECHNOLOGY LOADING...", the screen said. "Ohh, I think I know..", Isaac thought to himself. It was activated and loaded, so he tried attacking. A laser just sprayed out! Isaac, thrilled and startled, tried to take it off, but it was stuck. "Well, if it won't come off, might as well leave it on.", Isaac said shakily. He walked in another room, as a door slammed behind him. A pair of Gapers came after him. "Hi, Gaper, is that you?", Isaac said. The Gapers attacked, biting him and scratching him. "Nope, definitley not Gaper!", Isaac yelled, firing his laser at the gapers. The doors opened, as something black and round fell from the ceiling. He picked ip t up, and examined it. "Is this a bomb? Why are their bombs in our unknown basement?!", Isaac shouted. He looked over, he saw a room, with a skull on top of the doorway, and a red glow around it.

He saw something weird in there, and he heard a thing breathing heavily. He didn't want to go in there, but Gapers appeared from nowhere, grabbed his arms, and threw him in there. He saw a girl with blonde hair in a cage "Hello down there?!", The girl yelled to Isaac. "What are you doing up there?!", Isaac shouted back. "This fat blob came towards me and trapped me in here! He is holding a golden key, and I need it to get out!", She exclaimed. "Where is he?", Isaac asked her. "I don't know! He just locked me in here and here I am!", she shouted. Then they heard a loud thumping sound, coming closer. Then the fat blob fell through the ceiling, and roared.

"AHHH, WHAT IS THAT?!", Isaac yelled. "I think they call that species Monstro.", she yelled back. Isaac was looking around for things to throw at it, and just so happened that the mysterious black ball was, in fact a bomb. So he laid it down, and somehow lit as soon as it touched the ground. He ran away from it, just hoping Monstro would jump straight onto the bomb. And he did, surprisingly. Isaac looked on his moniter, and saw a red bar. He was confused and *SMACK*, Monstro leaped straight on top of him.

"GUY!", the blonde haired girl yelled down. She squeezed a heart out of the cage and yelled down; "Take this! It will heal you!". Isaac squeezed it, and nothing happened. So as Monstro made another leap, Isaac dove out of the way, heavily breathing. Isaac fired a laser at it, and surprise, it hit him. Isaac noticed the red bar lowered as soon as he hit him. "That must be what it is, a health meter for it!", Isaac thought to himself. So Isaac, dodging every leap and every blood shot, he eventually defeated him. The girl's cage lowered as Isaac looked under Monstro, and the key wasn't there.

"Check under his tongue.", the girl said. "Gross... but, could it really be there?", Isaac said. So, he braced himself, and he checked. And there it was. He reached in, and grabbed it out from underneath. He went over, and dizzily unlocked the girl's cage. She leaped out, and said to him, with a huge smile, and as she hugged him going; "Oh thank you so much!", the girl said. Isaac just looked at her for a few seconds, and sat down. As Isaac sat down, he gave her the heart.

"Is everything alright?", The girl asked. He didn't say anything, he just sat down, and looked blankly at the wall, as he slowly cried. "Here, open your mouth.", she said, tearing a piece of the heart out. Isaac checked out the piece, and he opened his mouth. She sat the piece in his mouth, and Isaac was getting ready to swallow it. "No, don't swallow, just let it sit there.", she said. So he did, and he did a gesture of thanks. He looked down the trap door, and thought to himself; "Wow, that is a deep drop, but what if... what if I die when I jump? What if she just pushes me down here?" He stood there for a moment, then he said these words; "Alright, as long as it gets me away from mother, I will be fine. He took a deep breath, and jumped down.
