Trap

Hong Cha Young had underestimated Babel Group and that was her biggest mistake. Today she had brought as much evidence as she could, gathered witnesses, even discussed some strategy with Vincenzo before the trial, but today it all fell apart.

The witness she had was found dead 30 minutes before the trial, the evidence she brought had been rejected, and the lawyer appointed by Babel Group had previously been replaced by Choi Myung Hee, a former corrupt prosecutor whom she had bribed to smooth the settlement of the Babel Group case. She didn't know about this change until this morning when she arrived in court and found her sitting in the lawyer's chair.

The problem is, Choi Myung Hee is not a random person, she knows the loopholes of a law better than most people because of course that is her job- getting people out of the law. And to be honest, Cha Young even learned a lot from her.

And fighting her in court is ridiculous.

They did not stop arguing since the first minute the trial started, the tension between them was too much, the interruptions continued, several times the judge asked them to calm down, but every time one of them opened they mouth, a quarrel was inevitable.

The trial was going on very hard, the situation was getting less and less conducive, and because of the constant tension, the judge finally decided to stop the trial for a while.

If she wasn't in the courtroom right now, she would have been screaming in frustration.

"Byeonhosanim.." said Vincenzo, when the Judge had left the courtroom,

Cha Young walked up to him, didn't say anything, she was too angry to speak. "Let's get out of here first, then we'll talk" he added.

She nodded and followed him out of the room. And how her mood got worse when on the outside both Choi Myung Hee, her ex-boss Han Seung Hyeok, Jang Han Seo and of course her ex-intern Junwoo were waiting for her there. She had intended to pretend she didn't see them at all, but she knew Choi Myueng Hee woldn't let her go quietly.

"So disappointing, is this the best you can do?" She said mockingly as she passed in front of her.

Cha Young stopped in her tracks annoyed, and even though Vincenzo had admonished her to keep going, she didn't listen. She faced them and turned to challenge her.

"How many, are you going to kill to cover up all your rot?" She felt a surge of anger, seeing them all standing here as if nothing had happened, as if the witnesses who died this morning were not a big deal.

"What are you talking about, we don't understand at all" Choi Myung Hee smirked annoyingly, how she wanted to pull her curly hair at that moment.

"You think you can get away with this? No! I'll make sure to drag all of you into hell, especially you!" She pointed at Choi Myung Hee boldly "Because prison will never be enough for you!"

They laughed, clearly belittling her.

"Stop being so chaste! You think you're better than us? You're a corrupt lawyer, just wait, you'll rot in jail any minute!"

"That's true, especially since you sent me a threatening letter, you think I don't know? They will call you soon, and you won't be able to get away" added Jang Han Seo

Cha Young smiled almost as disdainfully "I'm looking forward to it. We'll see."

She felt Vincenzo's hand on her shoulder, urging her to continue on her way, he murmur "Byeonhosanim.. Don't let them provoke you. Let's go now." and before she answered, he took her away from there. Cha Young doesn't try to fight back at all and lets it go.

She could see Choi Myung Hee's grin getting wider, as well as the mocking faces of Jang Han Seo as well as Mr. Han. That damn trash. She vowed to destroy that smile the next time.
