the painting of green

=chapter one=

Hanging up in the forbidden halls of hogwarts hangs a painting of a boy dressed in a green dress, with hair as white as snow, his name, Sylus Malfloy.

draco pushed his head into his pillows, trying to block out the sound of his alarm clock, he did not want to get up as it was the first day of his fourth year at hogwarts, knowing that yesterday he and his father went and got his stuff, all he had to do was get on the train a couple more minutes couldn't hurt. forgetting to turn his alarm off he tried to go back to sleep, he groaned as it continued to ring, he lifted his head and looked at his clock. his eyes widened "fuck" he whispered, mentally yelling at himself, he scrambled to get up, he grabbed his uniform and threw it on. running downstairs he quickly said goodbye to his mother, using floo powder he got to diagon ally. looking around he quickly made his way to the train station, running through the crowd he bumped into someone. looking up, he heard the stranger say a rushed apology before the person moved past him. Draco brushed it off, before he continued to run he saw a glimmer of gold, taking a closer look he saw a golden locket. Grabbing it he turned around to tell the stranger, but the person was not there, thinking about going after the person he remembered about the train. 

When he made it to the train he boarded, and looked around for blaise and pansy. Walking to the back he spotted the pair. "hey!" blaise called out to draco, pansy lifted her head and looked at where blasie had called out to, seeing it was draco she smiled. Smiling back draco jogged over to the two. "there he is, almost thought you wouldn't make it" pansy laughed out. Draco snorted and sat down next to blaise. "i almost didn't make it, woke up late so i had to rush" draco smiled and leaned back catching his breath. "you waking up late? bloody hell i thought id never see the day" blaise exclaimed, Draco laughed before shaking his head at his friends antics. "i made it though, ran all the way here, even bumped into someone on the way" draco laid his head on blaise's shoulder, sleep catching up to him.

"hold up blond boy dont fall asleep, tell us more, you bumped into someone?" pansy said wanting to know more. Draco groaned and pushed his head into blaise's neck, "there's not much to tell, bumped into someone, said sorry, they dropped something, couldn't give it back, rushed to the train, now im here" draco mumbled out. "what did they drop?" blaise said moving his body so draco could be more comfortable. "some locket or some'ng" draco slurred his words, slowly falling asleep. "can we se-" pansy started before blaise gave her a look, shutting her up. Pansy whispered a sorry before looking at draco, he feel asleep and was cuddling into blaise, she smiled at the sight. Going back to what they were doing before draco joined them they let draco sleep.

=hours later=

after getting to hogwarts, all students headed to the great hall, Draco leaned on blaise as they walked. "still sleepy blondie?" pansy asked holding in laughter, draco grumbled before nodding. Blaise snorted "after the first years get sorted and we eat we'll head to the slytherin dorm so it won't be much longer till you get to sleep" blaise said slightly pulling draco closer so he wont fall. Draco nodded, continuing to walk the group made their way to the great hall. the three went to the slytherin table and sat down, pansy and blasie watched as the first years were sorted into their houses. Draco leaned against blasie more, getting more tired as the ceremony went on. After the first years were sorted and were sat at their tables Dumbledore said a small speech before the feast started. Draco groaned and grabbed some things to put on his plate. he slowly ate as his friends talked, sometimes he would put his input but he'd rarely talk as he was to tired. "Draco? hey, we are going now" blaise gently shook Draco  groaned and got up fallowing his two friends to the slytherin dorms. 

"..help me...im stuck in the painting.."

Draco stopped, looking around, he thought he had heard something...someone. He wanderd down one of the hallways where he'd thought he had heard the voice, it was dark and cold, but he was sure the voice had come from this way, why would someone go down here? "draco?" pansy said, "mhm?" draco hummed out still looking down the dark hallway, he heard footsteps coming to him before a hand grabbed his hand. "draco" this time it was blaise, he turned around and faced the taller boy. "what are you doing down here-"  blaise pulled Draco and started walking to the entrence of the hallway "-these are the forbidden hallways, we cant go down there why were you down there?" blaise looked at draco with a confused look on his face. "i- i thought i heard someone down here...i..im sorry lets go to the dorm im most likely really tired" Draco looked at blaise in slight shame before rushing to get to the slytherin dorms". With blaise and pansy behind him he walked into the common room, giving a slight greeting to the others he headed to the male dorms. He got into his bed and pulled the cover over himself not bothering to change his clothes. 

"hey draco?" he heard Blaise say, Draco mumbled, telling blaise that he was listening. "are you okay you've been tired all day?" Draco pulled the cover down and looked at blaise 'didn't get much sleep last night, i stayed up late" draco smiled before pulling the cover back over him. blaise laughed before getting into pajamas, blaise -with the confermation of draco- layed down in draco's bed. Blaise layed next to draco and pulled the boy closer. Draco pushed himself into blaises chest and started to fall asleep. Before draco completely fell asleep he heard blaise say "goodnight draco, i love you" draco smiled and snuggled into blasie more before completely falling asleep.
