On November 23rd 2009 a young girls heart was destroyed... her family was fighting alot, and she had been pushed to the middle. her name: Sasha Price. She was just 10 when her parents got divorced, she refused to stay with one of them. To her she had to be with both of them.. There was no way she could choose between them. Her brother went with their dad, leaving her to go with her mom.
Her mom would beat her every night, blaming her for her parents divorce. As the years passed by she fought more and more with her mom, till finally her mom was fed up with her and sent her to live with her grandma. it wasnt much better but at least she wouldnt be beaten all the time. She packed up the last box and headed downstairs to get a drink when she heard a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" she asked, as she set her drink down on the counter and walked towards the door, seeing the shadow through the window. "It's me Sasha, you know you can trust me." a deep male voice answered back, a slight laugh in his voice. She gasped. "Leo!" she exclaimed, opening the door and hugging the tall dark skinned male in front of her.
"What are you doing here?! My mom will kill you if she sees you!" she almost yelled before remembering to keep her voice down. "come on! get upstairs to my room!" when she noticed his hesitation, she pulled on his arm lightly. "now!" She pushed him up the stairs in front of her, then closed her door so her mom wouldn't see him.
"what are you, crazy?!" she whispered angrily. she wasn't really mad but he knew better to come over while her mom was home unless it was necessary.
"if you give a moment to speak, i'll tell you!" He huffed, pulling her into a hug. "I was worried, you didn't call me when you got home like i told you to." he sighed, happy she was safe, but he was concerned about WHY she hadn't called him.
"I didn't have a chance to. my mom won't leave me alone, and i can't even think with her around anymore." she huffed, biting her lip and pushing back the tears that tried to free themselves from her eyes. "I...I have to tell you something.." she whispered, the first of many tears falling down her cheek.
"what is it? you know i'm here no matter what." he said, noticing the tear. He wiped it away and pulled her into another hug. this one was just as emotion filled as the first but it was less intense and rushed. They stood like this for a few moments when she suddenly pushed him away.
"I can't do this Leo... I'm moving... to my grandma's house in Edmonton... I don.t think we'll be able to see each other anymore..." she managed, falling down to her knees as she started crying. She didn't move , didn't hide her face, she just cried, waiting for him to say something, but her couldn't. He was dumbfounded. "m..oving? you're moving?" he asked kneeling down beside her.
