"B-but daddy! I-i don't wanna leave you," I cry out, my light blue eyes watering. I feel my little body start to shake with sobs uncontrollably.
My father turns his back to me and pulls up his brown hood up and whispers, "I'm sorry, Jerica, but I cannot take you with me where I am going." He then walks a few steps away from me and toward the small red x-wing that sat in the courtyard of the Jedi temple on Tython, the long forgotten birthplace of the first force wielders. He turns his head slightly so he was facing a youthful, tall, dark haired man, "Thank you, Master Kahn, please keep my daughter safe."
Swiftly he turns back around, his cloak flapping like a flag in the wind at the sudden movement, and climbs into the x-wing. After a final hesitation he takes off with one, small, final goodbye wave.
***Ten Years Later***
Sighing heavily I push my blondish-brown hair away from my face in a frustrated manner then close my eyes and try to clear my mind again after failing the last time. Slowly I feel myself becoming calmer and calmer as if I were drifting into a deep sleep, but a sudden noise makes my eyes snap open quickly, making me lose my concentration and patience. "Master Khan," I say coolly.
Master Kahn tilts his head slightly forward in acknowledgement then moves to sit in one of the low, silver and crimson seats across from me. "Jerica, I have something important to tell you, so listen closely," he says slowly like he was choosing his words carefully. My eyebrows crinkle together in confusion at the seriousness and the slight tone of sadness in his voice as he goes on. "The Jedi council has decided that you will be leaving from the temple here on Tython to the one on Coruscant. You will be leaving immediately and you'll be assigned to a new Master," Master Kahn slowly says, studying my face to see my reaction.
I feel extremely sad about having to leave my Master, yet slightly excited at the new adventure that I was about to begin. "Very well, then," I say sadly but trying to sound cheerful. Master Kahn must've seen through my facade, for he gave me a knowing and reassuring smile, one that said it would be alright.
"You must get ready for departure so you will be ready to leave on time," Master Kahn says as he gets up from the seat and leaves the room. I nod my head, making my medium length hair bob up and down, then get up myself.
Walking through the breathtaking halls of the mainly empty Jedi temple I reach my room in no time, so I open the door and walk into it. The inside has a simple bed in the center of one wall that has deep red sheets with a golden swirly design, tanish color walls, a simple dresser with my padawan robes, and a large window showing the green lush forest of the planet.
When I'm done packing my few things like my robes, lightsaber, and some journals I place them in my small sack that I had and then stand next to my room's large window. Outside I watch as the golden light of the sun gracefully dances across the deep green canopy of the trees as if it were a never ending ballet of some sort. Movement in the thick bushes on the forest floor brings my attention away from the entrancing dance of light and towards the tree line. Emerging from the bushes was two figures, one wearing the traditional Jedi robes and the other wearing an almost all black outfit.
Turning around quickly I grab my bag then run out my door, down the long hallways, sliding down the long swirly stairwell's railing, and towards the large beautifully decorated courtyard of the temple. After a while I reach the courtyard and see Master Kahn standing in the center of it with the two strangers, all of them conversing to each other. I slow my pace down and walk cautiously to them, not wanting to interrupt their conversation.
"Jerica, I see you're ready. These are the two Jedi who will be escorting you to the temple on Coruscant," Master Khan explains.
I nod my head and keep silent. The one wearing the mainly black outfit speaks up, "You don't have to be so quiet, you know. By the way, I'm Anakin Skywalker." He then extends his hand so I shake it.
