Have you ever felt like you really hate someone without a reason? Like, when you glance at them walking down the hall, or noticed his black hair along with a noisy orange haired boy across the class, or put it simply, looking at their backs while jogging around the school? You got irritated and annoyed, even if they didn't particularly do anything towards you.

Yeah. That's what Tsukishima Kei feels.

Well, maybe it is kinda common for him to feel that way, because he clearly hates people, except Yams obviously. He somehow has this soft spot just for the freckled boy, and knows exactly how to manage his sarcastic-salty-ass attitude. But it gets worse when it comes to Kageyama. He doesn't even know what is the reason behind the hatred he feels towards the king. Even if he hates Hinata for being fussy, he hates Kageyama more. Like not a single thing about him can please the salty tall guy.

Yamaguchi once tried to connect the dots, searching for the possibility of why Tsukishima hates Kageyama a lot. It turned out that maybe because the two of them shared the same condition. They both have trust issues, are awkward, introverted as hell, and love volleyball. Not as much as Tsukishima acknowledges, but he for sure hates the idea of them being in the same team. Until the day the team finally won of course. You know, that exact moment when he could block Ushijima Wakatosi and scream the hell out of his lungs.

Maybe he does hate Kageyama personally, but secretly likes to play volleyball with him in the team. Kinda confusing, but whatever.

"Why can't you be more serious, Saltyshima? That toss was perfectly done, and you just let the masterpiece slide off your long-lean hand?" Kageyama growls in despair, knowing exactly that practicing a quick attack with the blonde dude makes him tired.

Okay, nevermind. Tsukishima does hate everything about Kageyama.

"Well sorry about that, king. I am not Hinata who shares the same brain cells with you," answers Tsukishima, annoyed too.

"You said what, dumbass? I am not sharing my brain cells with that idiot!"

"Yeah! Me too!" the short boy shouts from behind.

Tsukishima snorts. "Bullshit."

He finds himself walking out of the building, ignoring Daichi and Suga calling his name. It's just that these feelings inside his chest weirdly affect his mood. It's not like he had a bad day today, but something seems off. The tight feeling grows even more, making it hard to breathe. That's why Tsukishima gets tired easily nowadays, and can't practice well, nor hit the ball Kageyama's served him.

Is it because of Kageyama?

But why though?

Tsukishima splashes his face with water, hoping the cold liquid will brush off his worries. Not as if he has a lot of things in his head to worry about, though. He's just selfishly running away from the fact that he's not playing well. Now that he thinks about it, Daichi will probably be mad at him for leaving the practice.

Tsukishima finally makes his way back to the building, realizing that the practice has already been done. They're on the floor, chatting at each other. Yamaguchi notices him and immediately shouts happily.

"Tsukki! You're back!"

Pfft, adorable.

Daichi turns his head, making this scary face to point out what mistakes he has made. Tsukishima sighs and scratches his head awkwardly.
