Chapter 1: Old habits are the hardest to break

December 11th, 2009

Alice was a monster,

At least that's what she believed.

After 7 years of imprisonment, torture, and abuse, she finally got the two of them out of there.

Wherever there was, she would never know, but in the end all that she cared about was her and her daughters' lives.

So, she ran like her life depended on it, which in a sense it did.

She had just killed over 50 men within an hour, making sure certain monsters had a nice and slow death.

She was caked in an ungodly amount of blood; Beth was in a similar situation but her case but nowhere near as gruesome.

The snow and crunchy leaves were crushed under her feet as she ran through the never-ending forest that surrounded her former hell hole.

She was exhausted and could hardly breathe, but continued to run as she whispered, "It's okay baby, it's going to be okay." to Beth, who gripped onto her mother for dear life.

After god knows how long, Alice approached a street at the same time as a car began to drive up.

The man in the car slowed down after seeing Alice in her current state holding the terrified child.

"Ma'am, are you okay? Are you hurt?" The man said, a strange American accent on his tongue.

Where the hell was she?

God, she needed to get out of here.

"Do you need a ride?" The man questioned.

Alice got an idea, so she frantically nodded her head. The man unlocked the door and let Alice get in, his eyes widening as he noticed all the blood covering her and Beth, who whimpered when she spotted the man.

"What the hell happened to you?"

Alice held eye contact with the man before she smashed his head into the steering wheel, knocking him out. She quickly got Beth off of her, much to the girl's dismay, and got out the car to open the other door and dump the man out.
