For six years, Dream dreamt of George being in Florida. That was all it was though, a dream. A desire that he had to tuck away and ignore. He had always wanted to meet George throughout their entire friendship, but circumstance was never in their favor.

Between many late night discord calls and several hour streams, the desire Dream had to meet George has grown tremendously.

With every glance to his monitor, every time he saw the way George looked when he was restless and almost falling asleep, or every time George would laugh so hard that he would need to take a break to catch his breath, there was nothing more Dream wanted to do than see it all in person. He wanted to see George up close, he wanted to observe him, he wanted to touch-

'Calm down', he told himself in his head. Dream and George were in a weird situation. There was obvious feelings and tension, yet they were nothing more than friends. Dream still felt guilty when his thoughts became too risky. He still felt ashamed every time he thought of George's chocolate brown eyes, every time he thought about touching his face, or lifting his shirt-

'Too far. Way too far', he interrupted his own thoughts once more. He still worries that one day he is going to slip up and say something out of pocket like that to George. He knows how George is, he knows that he gets scared off easily, which is why he keeps most of his thoughts and feelings to himself. If it were up to him, George would've been his a long time ago.

"Earth to Dream." Sapnap snaps his fingers. They've been on a discord call for a little over an hour now, all three of them excited because in less than 24 hours they will all be in the same house.

Sapnap and Dream have been living together for months now, and George is finally visiting them for the holidays. It's pretty close to perfect for them, the only downside is Sapnap is visiting his family in Texas for the week of Christmas, leaving George and Dream alone in Florida for that entire week.

"Sorry, I zoned out. I can't believe you're going to be here in less than 24 hours George." Dream says.

"Yeah, me neither." George says, with an obvious smile on his face. Dream loved that about him, you could tell he was smiling by his tone.

"Alright guys, I'm slumped. I'm gonna head to bed, don't wanna be tired when Georgy finally gets here." Sapnap says. George scoffs at the nickname, "Goodnight Sapnap, see you tomorrow." Again with the tone, Dream wishes he could see Georges smile.

Theres a ding that indicates Sapnap left the call, and now its just Dream and George.

"I still can't believe I'm going to see you tomorrow." George says, sounding star struck. "I'm so excited." Dream recognizes that voice, its the voice he gets when he is tired and nearing sleep, normally when it's just the two of them. His heart melts at the sound.

"Me too," Dream can't hold back his smile. "George?" Dream says, more like a question.

"yeah?"

"What are you like in person?" Dream asks. He knows what George is like online: Funny; happy; hyper, yet still cold and closed off. The anticipation is killing him, is George the same in person? Distant and closed off?

"I'm pretty much the same as I am online." Dream really hopes this is a lie.

"George?" He questions once again. "Yeah?" Dream could almost melt at his voice. "What would you be like with me?" He hopes that he hasn't gone too far, he prays that he hasn't just pushed George away.

"Clay." George warns. For some reason, Dream gets irritated at that. George said that as if Dream was supposed to just read his mind and not have asked that question. "I'm just asking. How am I supposed to know your boundaries, how am I supposed to know where to stop?"

"Lets just wait to find out, okay?" Dream almost had hope.

"But-"

"Im getting tired. I think it's time for me to go to bed, I wouldn't want to miss my flight. George says. Key word: almost.

"Goodnight George, sleep well. I'll see you tomorrow, text me before you board." If there's one thing Dream was, it was patient.

"Goodnight Dream, sleep well." George says, a hint of laughter in his voice.

And with that, Dream is left alone to wander in his thoughts. His mind dances to the fact that he's actually meeting George tomorrow.

He thinks back to all of the times he's dreamt about this exact moment. He thinks back to all the times he's practiced what he'd say to George when they first meet in the mirror, he thinks about all the times they've talked about what they'd do when the anticipated moment actually came, he thinks back to it all.

Dream exits the Discord call, and shuts off his monitor,  then he makes his way towards his bed. He decides he's going to try to get some sleep, he doesn't want to be tired when he finally meets his best friend.

The second his head hits the pillow, he thinks about the moment that's waiting for him in the morning.

He's been waiting for this day for over 6 years now, and as anxious as he is, he is extremely excited.

Dream lets his thoughts take him away, and with that, he drifts off onto a deep slumber, dreaming about the day that's awaiting him.
