C H A P T E R 1

Deja's POV

I heard the click of her heels as she began making her way to her office. I grew nervous as every step came closer...but not fearful.

She walked in and looked at me her face was business talk she walked to her seat and sat down crossing her legs and folding her hands on the desk. She smirked "I'm guessing your Deja" she said smiling at me " I'm cookie" she said putting her hand out for me to shake.

I took it "I know who you are" I said sitting back in my sit. I admired her skin completion her skin was so flawless and baby soft she didn't look a day over 40.

"So...tell me why I should pick you to be our newest empire artist"

I smiled "because I am a different from the others and I work hard on my songs ive been singing since my mothers womb I will become the new Empire...the one where nobody will forget my name and you and believe that for a fact"

Cookie smirked and shook her head " I love you already...you got that inner fire in you that none of those girls have you I like it a lot l, give me a sec" she got up and walked out her office she came back with papers in her hand and a pen "sign"

I began cheesing "you won't regret this"

She pointed at me with her pointer finger " I better not I am counting on you to make Empire shine"

"Trust me my songs will go platinum for a FACT!"

She smiled "I want you to meet everyone... Not today but tomorrow so come around 4 for the meeting"

"Alright I will make sure of that"

"Oh and" she said turning around " just to let you know my son Hakeem is a cougar if he tries to flirt just knock him in the head with something alright?...byee" she said walking out

I smirked and began walking out satisfied of what I accomplished. I pressed the button on my keys to find my car. I walked up and hopped into my all white lexus and drove off. A good 20 mins later I arrived at my penthouse... Spanking beautiful I hopped out and walked into my house I sighed "damn this house beautiful" I said talking to myself

I immediately walked up into my room throwing all my clothes off and hitting the shower. The warm water felt amazing on my body and I loved every minute of it. I finally hopped out and wrapped the towel around my body, creasing it. I walked into my closet and threw me on a white sports bra and some short gym shorts...I don't go to sleep with panties on. I tossed my hair up into a messy ass bun and hopped my ass into my bed and went to sleep ready for tomorrow

I woke up around 12, skipping showering I went straight into my closet to pick out my outfit I put on a white pencil skirt, a black crop top with sleeves, and some 6 inch white heels now for my hair I flattened my hair bone straight and the acessories I put on white hoop earrings and a white necklace and finally i put on black bracelets that had my name on 'em I was looking professional and ready to wow cookie and of course Lucious

I remember cookie telling me about Hakeem and how he's a cougar I honestly already guess that she basically didn't needed to tell me he's young 23 so he ain't ready to settle down.

I left out my house locking it up I began walking the stairs and my phone began ringing I looked at it and it read "Cookie" I looked at the time and it was 3:45 I had time I pressed the anwser button and held the phone up to my ears

"Hello"

"You coming right?"

"Haha yes I'm leaving now as we speak"

"Now? You should have been left"

"Its only 3:47 I will make it on time"

"You should already know when I mean 4 I mean come 2 everyone's here we just waiting on you slow ass"
