Den, my boy best friend. He walks into my room with my other friends Jesse, Tre, Paul, Greg and Sanders. I smile as they sit down. "Hey guys!" I say excitedly. I've liked Den forever. We've known each other since we were baby's. Den has Black hair, muscles, brown eyes and is 18. We're all 18. "Hey darling." Den says as he sits beside me on my bed. I quickly close my journal. "Are we keeping secrets now? Let me see." He demands. I slowly open to the page I was just on. A drawing of Den and me. He laughs. "Here". He says as he snatches the book from me. It's a fluffy black notebook. He rips out the page and throws the book on the bed. "This is going on my wall." He laughs "Hey Den, Allie, come play this game with us", Tre says. We nod and get up. It's the card game where we have to keep the card on our lips and try to pass it to someone without it falling. It's actually fun, at least better then my best friend reading my book. "Okay, come Den let's play." I say, grabbing his hand to pull him. When we go over there, we play. I accidentally drop it and kiss Den. I start blushing and I back up from him, trying to hide my bright rosy cheeks. I almost fall over but Tre catches me and laughs. I cut myself. It stings really bad. "Come on clumsy, let's get it cleaned up." Den says trying to rush me out of the room. A couple of them are staring at me weird while the others stand in front of them. I go with Den to the bathroom. He smirks and comes over to me. "How was it? The kiss?" He asks as if he wants to ask a different question. "Basic, like you. They never got like that around me before." I say, nervously. "First, rude darling and second, they're bad around blood." He says, putting pressure on my hand. I try to pull away but he doesn't let me. "How long have you guys been vampires?" I ask. Den looks at me like I'm crazy. "I'm not sure what you mean." Den asks. "Please? I saw you drinking it yesterday." I say calmly. Shaking a little bit. He nods his head. He covers my mouth with his hand and turns on the water. Den whispers. "I won't hurt you. But you aren't supposed to know. You're special. Okay? To me." He says. I nod. He smirks, uncovering my lips. He kisses me so I kiss back. "Will they hurt me?" I ask still shaking. "No. They're still getting used to blood that's why they're with me. There is a whole place with vampires." He says trying to keep me calm. I nod. As he turns off the water, the lights throughout the house go off. There's a knock at the door. "Tre can you come finish wrapping this? I'll get the door." He yells to my room. Tre comes in smirking and I hug him. I trust Tre with my life. He's also been my friend since we were born. He's gay. "So... you and Den?" He asks, giggling. Then all of a sudden, I hear a gunshot. My ears start ringing and there's smoke covering the rooms. Tre covers my mouth with his bandana. My lungs start filling up with the smoke. "Den get over here! She can barely breathe and I can't bring her out she won't let me!" He says as I push his arms away. I pass out. Later, I'm in the hospital. The room is bright but there's a shadow covering my face. "It's okay, relax." Den says. I look around but I realize it's not the hospitals around here. I quickly sit up and take the breathing mask off. "Where are we? This hospital isn't anywhere around BurningStok?" I ask, scared of the answer I'll receive. He kisses my forehead and wets a cloth, cleaning my face off. "Date me? Please?" He asks, smiling. I look at him confused. "You didn-" I try to say but he interrupts me. "One of us tried to kill you. You didn't answer the door that was why. We are in the underground bunker. I told them I won't leave your side and you won't get hurt." Den states, reassuring me. "I'll date you. I'd love too." I stand up so he passes me a black hoodie and some black tight leggings. I put them on. I realize there is the oxygen thing on my nose. I go to take it off but he stops me and puts on new tape. I look at his mouth. "Have you ever- bit me?" I ask hesitantly, quickly looking at a very tall man who walks in. He looks like a bodyguard with black hair, sunglasses and black clothes. I go behind Den. "Relax, father, this is Allieyah. My girlfriend." He says confidently. The man doesn't move, instead he turns his head towards me. "A human? I didnt think youd downgrade yourself to that low son." He says, making me a bit irritated. "No, just because I'm human doesn't mean I'm downgraded. Yea because you guys are so special" I say angrily. Dens father glares at him as if hes staring into his soul. He leaves quickly. "Hey Al? You weren't supposed to say that!" He says almost yelling. "I'm sorry- I'm sorry I should go." I say extremely nervously. He storms out of the room. I've never really known how lonely it can get until now. No one around, no one to talk to. Later, I'm laying down in the bed, crying. He walks in and comes over. I keep coughing because the oxygen is off of my nose. "I'm sorry for yelling, I didn't tell you. Allie you need the oxygen, your lungs are full of smoke still." He says. My mind is full of thought. One thought interrupting another thought over and over again. He helps me sit up and wipes off my tears. He puts it on my nose. "You- my lungs hurt Den." I say, taking very deep breathes. "I know, just focus on me and take deep breaths through your nose." He whispers. I do what he said and my lungs hurt a tiny bit less. A couple men walk in so I grab Dens hand. He smiles as they walk over. "Relax, they can't hurt you they're wolves." He says. The taller guy hands Den a piece of paper and a pen. I look at it. "You guys know there's cellphones right?" I say with attitude. Den chuckles "We write in paper here baby. So there's evidence of anything." He smirks. I roll my eyes and sign what he tells me. A contract that says if I reveal what they truly are they will harshly kill me. "Here, and Den I want to go for a walk." I yawn. He nods and brings me for a walk with the oxygen. We go down a really nice hallway to a big room. We go in, it's his room. "You get a huge room. Right your father is the boss right?" I say, rolling my eyes. "On the contrary. There is 5 bosses. He is one. I call them, the bossy ones." He chuckles and it makes me laugh. Den has always been around me. "Have I ever got bit?" I ask nervously. He walks me to his mirror. He pulls one side of my hair back very gently revealing a scar. "You ran off down the hall. One bit you. He's gone now we aren't aloud human blood." He says. I turn around and nod. "What about with consent?" I ask curious. "Don't give anyone consent." He demands. Soon, we're laying on his bed and I start coughing. I fix the oxygen and sit up. He rubs my back so I put my head against his chest. "Relax, here I have an idea. Trust me baby." He says calmly. I nod and before I know it, he's holding his bleeding wrist to my lips. I try a bit and start drinking his blood. He stops me and takes off the nose oxygen. That was really good. Should I offer mine?
