Unit 2

"Ugh, it's so fucking hot today. Why did we decide to go shopping, again?" Finn sighed.

"Yeah I don't know if I'm honest, you want to get some ice cream?" Noah answered. "There is a great FroYo shop somewhere around here."

"Yes, sure. It's been ages since I've had some." He doesn't actually like FroYo, but Noah does so he'll go along.

 Sophie and Mia are walking straight towards them. "Hey, but uhh how 'bout we go to Footlocker first, maybe?" Finn knows exactly what will happen if Noah spots Sophie and Mia, and he just wouldn't be able to survive a whole day with those two. Plus, Noah will 100% try to get him and Mia to go on a date, and that just isn't what he wants right now.

"Why? We can go to Footlocker after. Besides you bought new shoes last w- hey are that Sophie and Mia?"

Yup. They are. Shit.

"Hey, you guys! I didn't know you were here!" Sophie says in her annoying voice. "Where are you going? Maybe we'll come with. Right Mia? It'll be fun." 

Great, now Finn gets to spend the in-ti-re day with them. And Mia isn't even the biggest problem. Yes, it is annoying that Noah constantly tries to push them towards each other. But it also shows that he just wants him to be happy and if Finn's honest that's really sweet. The problem is Sophie, she always has to wear tops that show cleavage, and her skirts are always short, and people always talk about how great she is. Well, not everyone. But some people do. Okay, Noah is the only one who does, but still. Stupid Sophie.

"We were just going to grab some frozen yogurt. You should definitely come." Noah throws Finn a look. A look that says 'Dude this is your chance. make. a. move.'

Four very long and exhausting hours later, Finn has bought nothing, but somehow is carrying multiple bags from multiple stores. Sophie is chattering their ears of about something that Finn is pretty sure is called an eyelash curler. 

"Because you know, the big benefit is, it makes your eyelashes optically longer. I mean, isn't that just amazing!"

"Wow, that actually is interesting. Don't you think so Finn?" Noah sends him a compelling look.

"Uh, yea, really interesting things those, uh, things."

"Ugh, they're called eyelash curlers. Are you stupid?" This was Sophie again, and so far, every time Finn had said something she would react very annoyed. "Anyway, I think we're ready to go, right?" 

"Well, uhm, actually i kinda wan-" Finn started to say.

"Great, we'll go home. 're you coming Mia?"

"Oh yeah you can go, I'll catch up with you guys. Hey, uhm, Finn can you help me?" This was the first time Mia spoke to him directly.

"Uh, yea sure, I guess. We'll see you in a bit then." Noah looked like he wanted to say something but got cut of by Sophie who kissed him right on the mouth, while they we're walking. It didn't look like it was comfortable.

"Okay so, I was thinking" Mia started "maybe we could go to a movie tonight?" 

This was the opposite of what Finn had expected. She wants to go on a date? Finn is very confused, but his thoughts get cut off by a talking Mia.

"Normally I wouldn't just ask, right out of the blue. But, uhm, Noah said you kind of had a thing for me, and I thought to myself that maybe it would be nice to get to you a bit better. So, what do you think?"

"Well, this certainly is out of the blue, but uhm I do not like you like that. I mean I'm sure you're a great person, it's just, I don't really know you. So, thank you, but I think I'll pass." This was actually harder than Finn had thought. In his mind dumping would be the hard thing. Saying no shouldn't be such an issue, but still it was surprisingly difficult and he was a bit scared of her reaction.

"You know, you are such an asshole! You're looking at me the entire time and you're constantly flirting with me, and then you do this. you know what. Fuck you. You can find Noah and Sophie by yourself!" Mia storms off after yelling at him, while multiple people watch them. 

The thing is, Finn wasn't looking at Mia the entire time. He was looking at someone who was standing behind her. And he has no idea in what way he has flirted, because they didn't even talked. But that really isn't the most important thing now, because about twenty people are staring at him.

Right now, Finn is sitting near to a fountain. Alone. In a mall. He has called Noah multiple times, with no luck.

Then just as he is getting up to get some coffee, his phone rings. His phone finally rings, and of course this is Noah so he picks up without checking. I mean who else would call him. Literally no one.

"Ugh thank god. How lang was it going to take for you to call me. I've been here for hours man. I'm tired, are you gonna come anytime soon?" Finn says without any hesitation.

"Wait what? Who do you think I am? Are you stupid?" a very annoying female voice says through the phone. A very familiar voice. Fuck. It's Sophie. This is so not what Finn wanted.

"If you think I'm Noah, you probably should know, we broke up. But that's not what I called for. I just wanted to say that you are such a dickhead for what you did to Mia! How could you do something like that. This is such an ass move. You know, I was starting to like you, but now I don't think I'll ever be able to talk to you again. And just so you know, I hope you die right now!" and without waiting for a reaction, she hangs up.
