Skate, Cierra, and Sam stood behind me not in the stair area but behind the door, watching and letting me talk to the girl in a nice way.
"your mommy left you here?' I asked. She nodded with a pouty face. "Where'd she go?' I asked. She shrugged "She set me here and r-ran away with a boy," She said.
This little girl's mother didnt take care of her well. I see what happened.. her mom left with a guy and we all know what that means. I feel really bad for this child.
"What's your name?" I asked her. "Zoe," she mumbled. "Thats a pretty name," I smiled. She blushed "Thank you," She said in her little voice. "i'm Mallory.Did your mommy tell you when she was coming back?" I asked.she shook her head.
I thought about how I could help her.
"Do you wanna come with me?" I asked nicely."It isnt safe to sit here alone," I added. She nodded and I stood up and she stood up too.I opened the door out to where Sam and those guys were and Zoe held my hand. "Guys this is Zoe," I said to them giving them a look and they nodded and understood that she was left here.
"Hey Zoe I'm Sam," Sam smiled crouching down to her. She giggled. "Hi," she said twirling side to side. "I like your shirt," He complimented. "Thank you," She giggled. She walked to him and gave him a big bear hug. He laughed and hugged her small body.
He stood up still holding her over his hip as we walked. "So where are we going?" Skate asked me. "To see who Zoe's mom is," I said walking to the elevator.
We got to the front desk and Cierra, Skate, Sam,and Zoe all sat on the furniture while I talked to the person and told them what happened.
"Her mom is a girl named Madison. Um.. she checked out an hour ago with some guy," He said. Okay wow this Madison girl just left her daughter here?!
I turned around and looked at them. Cierra and Skate were talking. Sam and Zoe were talking and he had the cutest smile. He started making faces, making her giggle.
God Sam is perfect.
He looked at me and winked then focused back on Zoe. How am I gonna help this little girl? The person at the front desk told me he was gonna call the cops and the girls number so she could come get her Zoe, but I dont want Zoe to leave to her horrible mother.
I walked over to Sam and Zoe. "Hey we are gonna go to the mall," Sai Cierra and Skate swayed them. "Okay," I said and they walked away.
Sam wrapped his arm over my shoulder as Zoe sat on his lap. "Mallory," She said looking at me. "Hmm?" I hummed. "You and Sam are boyfriend and girlfriend right?' She asked. "Yeah," I giggled. "Then why did Sam say he's your daddy?"
