Like any ruler her first priority is to watch over all her people. Keep them safe, nudge them, even fulfilling their daily desires.

But there is a reason why she has to watch over them, not as a part of them, rather as an independent person. It is the lesson every good ruler has been taught :

Keep them in check

The first noble

T: What do you think of her?

K: She is too emotional for my concern.

T: The noble family awaits an heir to the throne. We have already set up everything, and dear Sire may I mention that it must happen soon?

K: I would rather worry about setting up a misguided heir. We still have other options, don't we? There must be someone else!

T: With the uttermost respect...

K: What about the boy, he seemed very talented. Solved our last task elegantly, effortlessly. We didn't expect anything like that.

T: No, we can't. The people have requested a female heir for this generation.

K: Damn council, I've always told you that we needed to get rid of them. They don't know what they are doing...

T: I beg for your pardon, but at this point in time we are in no position to even think about fighting the council.

K: So what is with this girl, explain why we even put her in here.

T: As you know, we have arranged this small group of people to get a better look at a potential look at our next leader, leader of our solar system.

We have put these 10 children with different, but important royal relatives into this palace. To test their capabilities, we have already given them 6 unique tasks to see who proves to be the best one. Still, we are not able to ignore the popularity of their relatives, the council of the people demands not only specific royal blood.

The long-awaited assassination of our current leader moves closer.  He should be dead in half a year, just when each of the children has turned into an adult.

Amaris has the most popular relatives. After all, she is the daughter of our current oh-so-beloved King, even if he does not know yet.

K: I still fear that she is too good for this position. A queen has to rule her people, going into extreme measures for them.

T: I see...

So you won't give her another chance?

K: Set up the next task, I will see what the girl can do!

T: Of course. This one will test their ability to lead.

K: We will talk again if they have completed it. You may go now!

T: Farewell master.

I will do everything I can to let this task go smoothly.
