Liam's POV
My eyes widened, my cheeks reddened. I had been caught staring at Zayn Malik, the boy I was supposed to hate.
I quickly shook my head, "n-no!" I exclaimed, causing him to laugh, I knew he could see right through my pathetic lie.
Zayn rolled his hazel eyes, "it's okay if you were, cause I'd check you out if you weren't so shy." That caused my blush to increase tenfold.
I looked at my phone, seeing 24 new messages, 46 missed calls, and 44 new voicemails. They were all from Niall and my mother, but mostly Niall.
I let out a sigh, and started to go through my messages.
'Mate! Why aren't you home? Your mum said you weren't home.'
A few texts later, he had sent
'Liam! Are you dead? Was Zayn's plan all along to invite you over then kill you and dump your body?!'
The rest of his texts were like that, I went to my voicemail box, letting the first one of many play.
'Liam James Payne, if you do not reply within the next hour I am going to assume that you are dead and I am staking claim to everything in your room. And then I will find that bastard and kill him, slowly.'
The next few were him just stating things he was going to take, then finally the one that I knew was coming.
'Okay. Liam. Come on dude, call me or text me or something. I am legitimately worried now. I mean dude, you've been gone for hours and you haven't send me one text. Come on, please?'
And by his voice I knew he had been crying in worry. I quickly pressed the dial button once I pulled up his number. He answered after one ring.
"Liam!" I heard screamed through the phone. I chuckled.
"I'm okay Niall, I just fell asleep during the movie and I kind of stayed the night." I explained, and I heard him sigh in relief.
"Okay. Good, call me back later okay? Greg just got home and I want to spend some time with him before he leaves again." Niall said, and I knew he was to keep talking, but I also knew that Greg rarely comes home.
"It's fine Niall. I'll talk to you later, yeah?" I said.
He chuckled, "yeah. Love you Lili."
"Love you to Nialler." I said, hanging up.
I looked over at Zayn, who was staring at me.
"Well, um, I've got to go." I said, blush creeping onto my already pink face.
He smiled and nodded, "I'll walk you to the door."
We both got up, walking down the stairs quietly.
"I had a good time." I said.
He smiled, "I did too. We should do this again sometime."
"Definitely." I said, smiling brightly. And then, he leaned down and kissed me.
