What Our Judges Looking For

As you may know, in a contest usually each judge is looking for something different. In this part, you will be able to see what each judge likes in a fanfiction, and what they are looking for when it comes to the entries.

Alrighty, now moving on to what we all think :)

1. SPARKSTAR1412

Okay, I have to admit, I am a bit picky when it comes to reading books.....especially fanfics....

One of the main things I'm looking for is nice, neat grammar. This includes (but is not limited too):

1. Spelling

2. Correct punctuation

3. Correct use of quotation marks

4. CAPITALIZATION!!!!

5. Paragraphs

I also love it when stories include a unique, unperfected main character. I don't like perfect characters. It just makes the reading boring.

I'm also into plot twists, as long as they aren't major. I want to feel something while reading, which I know can be hard to do as a writer. There are only so many books that can really make the reader feel like they are apart of a story.

So yeah, that about sums it up :3

2. HOLLYLEAF_

I am EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY PICKY! I WILL GIVE YOU A LOW SCORE IF YOU DO NOT PLEASE ME! (Lol I sound so mean...) Seriously though, I DEFINITELY want to see grammar. That includes commas, apostrophes, spacing, word usage.... There are SO MANY books on Wattpad with grammar like this: "Sun pool walked, along, da, road 2 get 2 StahpandShop:"

That hurt so much to write.

So SPELL THINGS RIGHT! DO NOT MESS UP HOMOPHONES! LOOK UP GRAMMAR ON GOOGLE!

I also want to see an ORIGINAL PLOT.

I don't want the cliché "OP main character gets a special prophecy and saves the Clans from the Dark Forest". I want INNOVATION! NEW IDEAS!

And third, you MUST MUST MUST do the correct capitalization for the books. It is Firestar of ThunderClan, not FireStar of Thunderclan or firestar of thunderclan. DO YOU HEAR/READ ME? GIVE ME GOOD CAPITALIZATION! NOW!

I also want an interesting book. Like, seriously. I want interesting. Appealing. Appropriate for the twelve-year-olds on here (because I, myself, am one).

And please please PLEASE, no OP characters. PLEASE.

If you do all this, then you WILL get a good score! If you don't, you WON'T! It's SIMPLE!
