A week left of summer.

Time goes by, wayyyy too fast.

3rd year is just a week ahead of me and I still haven't decided of a college that I want to go to.

Although the community college is great, I still wanna go to a prestigious school, that way I can at least bring some honor to my last name.

I have been spending most of my free time on finding great colleges and just by myself in general.

Kenma-kun comes every day or so to my house with no call whatsoever.

My parents didn't really mind him that much they just said that, "As long as he doesn't interfere with your studies we have no problem with him."

So it's not that big of a deal, and Kenma has also been coming out of his comfort zone lately so that's progress.

Hopefully he'll be more talkative every now and then.

"Guess who's here!!" A certain 'someone' busted open the door.

"Good mornin', come and eat some breakfast." I invited him over and got my brother a plate to eat his pancake in.

"Thanks sis, where's mom and dad?" He said placing his bags down the sofa to settle down in his kitchen stool.

"Mom's out buying groceries in the city and dad's at work."

"Oh ok, let's change the subject.. Uh.. Right! What college school are you going to attend?"

"Haven't decided yet." I was quietly murmuring to myself while drinking my iced coffee.

"You gotta choose soon, it's coming in just a year." He reminded me.

"Right.." I sighed deeply.

"You can take some training courses or maybe start looking for a job?" He looks at me patiently waiting for an answer, "Summer is about to end and plus, I want to focus on my studies and get to a high end college." I spoke humming silently.

"Welp, is anything interesting happening in your life?" Chuckling he devoured my pancakes.

"Nothing really now that you mention it."

"You're pathetic~" He nudged me playfully.

"Thank you, I didn't know that." I smiled sarcastically.

"You know that school starts in a week right..?" He asks me in a confused tone.

"What about it? It's nothing interesting really." I yawn undisturbed.

"Are you nervous or?" I could see the concern from the corner of his eye.

" 'Course not. I've been going to this hellhole for as long as I can remember, being in 3rd year won't make any difference."

"I was just making sure." He smiled at me genuinely.

"Thank you." Me and my mom say in unison.

"Can you believe it? My baby is almost going to college.." She fake cries as I giggle.

"Momm... You're making this harder for me." I groaned, and then we both laughed.

"Seriously speaking, please don't go to a very far away college like your brother.. He barely visits."

"Well, I can't speak for the future but.. If I do I'll visit you as often as I can, I promise."

"Alright, alright. Let's stop this sappy conversation and bring your uniform home so you can get a good night's sleep." She ruffles my hair.

2 days later..

The blaring sound of my arm rings in my ear, "Huff.. Jesus Christ.." I grab my phone to turn it off.

I stretch my arms widely, not being used to waking up this early again.

I went to do my daily routine of course and went down to eat.

"Yo sis!" He cheerfully waved.

"What's up with you this morning? And plus why are you still here..?" I ask while, eating my bacon and pancakes.

"Well, unlike you my school starts in a week."

"You're lucky.." I eat lifelessly.

"Bye bro." I wave, slinging my backpack onto my back.

"Boo!" Kenma scared me in front of my doorstep, well at least tried to.

"You excited?" I ask as we walk by each other.

"Not really, you?" I giggle, " Is that even a question? Of course I'm not."

We both laugh as we made our way to school, I wonder what awaits us from yet another year of adventures.
