Luigi x Daisy

Chapter One

Mario awoke that morning and streched. Luigi was in the kitchen fumbling around with the coffee machine. He clearly didn't know how to use it. Mario laughed as he walked into the kitchen.
"Need some help bro?"
"W-wha? No! I don't need help!"
Mario moved Luigi out of his way and showed him how to make the coffee. They sat down at the kitchen table and enjoyed their freshly made coffee. There was a knock at the door. Mario jumped up and opened the door.
"What is it, Toadsworth?"
"Well sir, Princess Peach wants both you and your brother at the castle today! There's a visitor awaiting for you guys..."
As Luigi overheard the news, he washed his coffee cup and headed for the shower. He was curious as to whom the visitor was.
Luigi finished up his morning and made coffee for Toad, his best friend. Toad loved to drink coffee. He remembered how Luigi met Toad and how they became friends.

Luigi was a plumber at the castle. One day, he notice Toad in the foyer. He was being chewed out by the princess. When she was finished, she walked out the room and Toad started crying. Confused, Luigi walked over to him.
"W-whats wrong?"
He sniffled and looked up tearfully.
"I was up all night working on a cake for the princess and I put all my hard work into it. She hated it!"
He plopped down and sobbed uncontrollably. This broke Luigi's heart. Seeing this poor soul working so hard for nothing made Luigi feel so bad. Suddenly, anger washed through him faster than a wave on shore.
"Oh hell no! I know EXACTLY how you feel! Get up, mister, we're going to see the princess right now!"
As Toad got up on his feet, Luigi grabbed his hand and rushed over to the throne room. There they found the princess complaining about how terrible the cake looked and how bad it tasted to Toadsworth. Toadsworth looked at the cake and grabbed himself a slice. His expression was visible; he liked the cake. Luigi looked at the cake himself. It was pink with rose gold flowers put neatly all around the base. At the top was a big pink ribbon dotted with pearls and surrounded by gold macaroons. There was a chunk of the cake missing on the side. Inside you could see chocolate icing and vanilla cake. According to the whole kingdom, that's exactly what she liked her cakes to be.
"Princess.. I don't see anything wrong with the cake-"
"SHUT UP TOADSWORTH!"
Toadsworth snapped silent at the second she shouted. Luigi continued to drag Toad into the throne room regardless of what he just witnessed.
"Oh hey Luigi-"
"YOU LISTEN TO ME YOU SPOILED PIECE OF SHIT!"
Luigi pushed Toad infront of him and put his hands on his shoulders. He could feel Toad shriveling in pure fright under his hands.
"THIS KIND SERVANT OF YOURS SPENT ALL NIGHT LONG MAKING THIS CAKE LOOK ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING FOR YOU! HE EVEN WENT THE EXTRA MILE JUST TO MAKE IT TASTE THE EXACT WAY YOU'D LIKE IT! HE DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS FOR YOU! HE DIDN'T HAVE TO SIT THERE AND MAKE IT LOOK AS GOOD AS HE DID!"
Luigi exhaled angrily through his nose as the princess froze in her chair dumbfounded. She was speechless. Silence filled the room which cooled Luigi off.
Finally, he added, "You should thank him. I'd hate to see him in pain after a long night of hard work."
Toad turned to look at Luigi and smiled gratefully.
"Thank you!" He whispered.
He turned back around to face the princess. She was thinking of what to say.
Finally, she concluded with, "I'm sorry I mistreated you. It is a pretty cake afterall. I just wanted it to be more grand than that. But thank you for giving me your best effort. I'll accept what you've given me."
Toad smiled brightly and walked out with Luigi.
As they walked through the halls, Toad looked at Luigi once more.
"What's your name anyway?"
"My name is Toad, sir. The one and only!"
"Nice to meet you."
"Could we be friends?"
Luigi smiled and nodded.
"Sure Toad, lets be friends."

Luigi whistled and walked as the birds chirped around him. He carried the extra coffee he made with him. Toad would love if he stopped by and gave him the drink. Toad absolutely loves coffee.
Mario sighed as he walked next to Luigi.
"What's up, bro?"
Mario looked at the trees and the birds. The bushes swaying in the warm, gentle breeze. The trees singing against the airstream. Hell, he even payed close attention to the gravel under his worn shoes. The gravel glistened in the sun. Mario didn't like to talk about his feelings and Luigi knew it. But something big was on his mind, it was written all over his face. Mario started to talk.
"Well, Luigi, you know I don't like to tell you things."
"Just tell me bro! You know I won't judge you!"
Mario kicked the gravel. Birds in the trees filled the silence. Finally, Mario started to talk.
"I want to ask the princess to marry me."
Luigi's eyes widened and his eyebrows raised.
"Wow Mario! I didn't know you loved her that much!"
"Luigi... I couldn't live without her. She's everything and so much more to me. I would do anything for her. Anything!"
Mario love sighed as he looked at the sky. Luigi didn't know what it was like to be in love. But he knew how much she meant to him.
"Well congrats bro! I'll be rooting for you!"
Mario smiled nervously.
"Thanks bro."
At the castle, a new set of guards sat at the entrance.
"HALT! YOU CANNOT PASS!"
Toad ran out from behind them and assured them that they could, they were the Mario Bros. Toad smiled and greeted Luigi. As Luigi gave Toad the extra coffee, Toad thanked him and started talking about the new visitor.
"She is the princess of Sarasaland so I've heard. She's pretty outgoing and athletic! I've also heard that she's the princess' cousin. Can you believe that?"
Luigi didn't think anything of it. He just smiled and kept walking.
"That's cool. I should greet her."
"Totally!"
The trio walked into the throne room. Toadsworth and the princesses were having a conversation. When they noticed they were there, they all turned to face them. Mario ran over to hug the princess.
"Who's that?"
She laughed and they turned towards the new visitor.
"Thats Daisy, my cousin. She wanted to shake her life up a bit so she came here."
"Hi I'm Daisy!"
Luigi didn't know what it was about her but he was instantly lovestruck.
"H-hi D-D-Daisy! I'm L-Luigi!"
His whole face was cherry red. He was sweating intensely. She giggled and smiled at him.
"Hi Luigi!"
Luigi smiled and blushed.
"Wow! She looks like shes into you, Luigi!" Toad whispered.
After hearing that, he fainted. He just couldn't take it no more.
