"Good luck on your date," Sammie cheered. I asked her to wach Dave, the baby chimp from the attack, at my place while I went out with Ethan. He was picking me up in 20 minutes. Sammie zipped the back of my dress that she picked out for me.
I wasn't sure how he would like me in brown, but the dress was beautiful. It really made my eyes shine. The layered skirt, the wrapped torso, and the brown flower on the side with a single diamond center was my taste.
I hope Ethan would agree...
"What if it's not even fancy?"
"Cally, relax. You'll be fine. As long as it's not an amusement park, you should be fine."
"I'm putting spanx on underneath," I said, going to my room to put some on. Spanx were a cheerleader's best friend. Well, so I've been told. Sammie actually gave me a pair of hers after she ordered my size one year since it was free from the cheer boosters. She promised they would be my best friend for skirts or dresses, and I never go without them if I have one of the two on.
"Feel better?" she teases, and I nodded.
"What if he doesn't like it?" I mumbled.
"Listen. Whatever makes you feel beautiful is what is important. He sees that in you, and I think that's partially the reason he loves you."
"Partially?"
"Nevermind that," she waved me off. "He'll be here any minute. You need to sit, and take a breather."
"Yeah," I agreed. "You're probably right."
"I know." We sat on the couch, just watching a movie that was playing on T.V. I had no idea what it was, but according to the internet, it was an infamous movie. Mostly because it was boring, predictable, and very lame. A knock sounded at the door, and I glanced at Sammie. She smiled, walking with me to the door.
"I see you still clean up as wonderfully as usual. Breathtaking as well," Ethan commented, kissing my cheek. Cam stood next to him.
"Guess they both needed company dressing to impress," Cam laughed. Sammie laughed with him.
"What a duo. I hope they won't always need us around to help them change clothes," Sammie mocked. My face flushed horribly. Ethan noticed, pulling me to him. I burried my face in his chest.
"Good grief, Liebe. You always were one to get embarassed right before a date."
"Can we just go?" I breathed shakily.
"I suppose. Let's get going. Thanks, you two." He guided me along towards the elevator. "You seem more flustered than usual," he commented as we were sealed inside our ride. "Any particular reason?"
"Other than this is our first actual date? No, not really."
"Come on, Cal. You know I won't hurt you, nor will I ever let anyone else hurt you. You're safe."
"I know. I'm just nervous. Where are we going first?"
"In the order of our usual 'dates'. The way you like it." He winked down at me, pulling me with him off the elevator. "Food then entertainment."
"Well aren't you just clever?"
"See? Aren't I that good that I still remember that?"
"Sure."
"We have a few stops."
"Oh, geez, Ethan...why would you waste your money on me?"
"Oh releax, Liebe. I told you I would spoil you, and I will do just that."
"No, I agreed to one-"
"One date night. And that's precisly what I'm giving you for now." He winked at me.
"You big dumby," I mumbled, looking away from his growing smirk.
"I know you like me spoiling you."
"I don't get it a lot, but this is overkill." I looked up at him again with a pout.
"You won't be saying that for long," he smirked. He kissed my nose as we made it to his ocean blue corvette. It was one of the things that I loved that was his. Right after his scent in number one and his hoodies...well shirts, too...in second. "You miss him?" I rolled my eyes at Mr. Telepathic over there. I barely grazed my fingers over the hood. This thing was worth more than my life. How did he keep it so breathtaking? I felt his eyes watching me like a hawk. He gently moved my hair to my right side, kissing my neck. "What a beautiful combo you two make. I wouldn't mind-"
I elbowed him before covering my ears, already knowing what he was about to say. A heavy blush made its way onto my cheeks again. He just stood there laughing his ass off. Of course he would say something like that.
"What an asshole," I muttered. He grabbed my waist, pinning me against the passenger side door where I moved to.
"I'm dead serious, but I'm just picking with you for now, We'll go at your pace."
"You know, I'm actually genuinely surprised that you don't have a girlfriend. How can girls resist a god for so long?" He chuckled, kissing my nose again. I watched his eyes expectantly.
"There is only one woman I want in my life, Liebe. You."
"You do like your German," I chuckled. He winked again.
"Course. It attracts you more than the other languages."
"More like just that word does."
"That's good enough for me." His lips attatched to mine, and I refused to resist him this time. "Shall we go, then?"
"Yeah," I breathed breathlessly.
"Good, cause we have a long date ahead."
