Chapter 14

They had dinner like what they expected and when they are finally alone together (I meant the siblings) they silently looked at each other not until Yanli spoke.

"How are you?" She asked, still as soft as before. "I'm fine" Jiang Cheng replied stiffly as he tried to masked his mixed feelings.

Yanli hummed in response and turn to Wei Wuxian who's reluctant of talking to Jiang Cheng after what happened earlier.

"A-cheng I--"

"A-jie if you're going to ask me why I disappeared, please not now" Jiang Cheng cut out

All Yanli could do was to nod in understanding as she doesn't want to force her brother to speak up. Not when he's not in the mood to do so.

Silence had once ate them. Neither of them had spoken after that but surely it's not awkward nor strange to be just sitting across each other.

Then all of the sudden, the door opened. "Jesus Christ, I thought you were held as hostage" It was Jin Jixuan who arrived just right now. He looks so worried but his expression is just too dumb.

Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng didn't even move as he made his way to Yanli. Well not until he noticed them. "You--"

"You've seen my men, you must accept the consequences" Jiang Cheng threatened him playfully and laugh upon seeing how Jin Jixuan's face turned red.

Well not because he's embarrassed nor scared but because he's been wanting to hit Jiang Cheng for not showing up for 10 years straight. Resulting Yanli to have countless nightmares.

None of them knows that other than him. Not even Wei Wuxian nor their son.

But then seeing Jiang Cheng's laugh stunned them. 'He changed' In Jin Jixuan's thought. Even though they haven't properly meet each other when they still are in the arena because they just couldn't get along and Jiang Cheng is literally good at distancing himself from everyone.

It's just a shame that they never had the chance to battle at the battle ground, not as a leaders but as a warriors. They stand high in that ground but never fought to death. They can only witness death of somebody else.

And to be honest, leaders have never killed anyone in the arena but of course Jiang Cheng is not one of them. We all know when he left the arena he had built a gang at the Yunmeng Border.

With his innocent masked face, he coldly killed a person with his own hands. Has others blood all over him. He never regret doing it because he had experience the worst. His heart is dead to even feel hurt for what others feel. There is always his daughter who would welcome him every time they go back to hq bathed in blood.

Actually, Jiang Cheng didn't change. It's just them who doesn't know what kind of person he really is. Well, he was missing for 10 years and that's probably the first time they saw him laughing so carefree. It feels like he had lower down the wall separating them from seeing his other side.

"What?" Jiang Cheng asked when he saw them with their drop jaw. "Dad, Zhang ge and Yang ge is igboring me again!!" A shout from outside which was A-xiang's voice.

Jiang Cheng turned to see his daughter and with the door open he could clearly see how his right hand man and Yang ge panicking as they look at Jiang Cheng.

"Good for you silly" Jiang Cheng replied which made A-xiang sulk like what she always does when she was just a girl. Jiang Cheng smiled at his two men and go back to facing his siblings and brother in law who's still in their position.

"You seriously are shock about this side of mine?" He asked

"N-no..." Jixuan answered unsurely as he look over to his wife. "He's lying" Wei Wuxian commented as he prepared himself to get hit by the pillow that Jixuan thrown to him.

"I have to go now, if you want to visit me just go to this place" Jiang Cheng said, taking out a paper and a pen. Then write his address which he only give to those trusted one but yeah, he doesn't trust anyone other than his family, the family he always had in his dreams.

"Just don't be surprised if you are welcomed by my men, they look scary but they melt when seeing a cute little creature" With that, Jiang Cheng made his way to the door but before leaving he look at them once again and said, "By then, I'll be ready to answer your question just not tomorrow or the next day after tomorrow"

They were welcomed with a wounded men as soon as they arrived at the hq. Jiang Cheng looks so worked up as he face his men.

"What happened?" he asked, voice soften. " Yi Han's men showed up in the City S, they attacked our quarter" One of the guys answered as he hold himself from coughing blood.

"What a coward, he couldn't even asked his men attack the head quarter. Xue Yang, take your men with you and head to City S. Make sure to get there without earning the other gang's attention."

Xue Yang nodded and called out all his men. He instructed them calmly yet bossy.

"Li Zhang, you go to the Gusu border and check our men. Take Jian Yu and Jessica with you" Li Zhang bowed his head as he went outside with Jian Yu and Jessica followed him.

Jiang Cheng sighed as he dismissed the injured guys and asked for doctors to tend them. Yes they have doctors inside. He carefully chose them to work under his name, not his real name though.

"How about I head to Qinghe border with Wei gege?" A-xiang fearlessly suggested.

Jiang Cheng felt a bit worried but he let her go as he knows she is safe with her geges with her and it's better this way so that they could make sure everyone is safe. Cause if one quarter is down, it's possible they could also take down the others.

It's just like playing Jengga, if you keep pulling bricks, sooner or later it will fall and you'll lose. So in order to win, you have to be in good condition to balance the tower of bricks.

Hi guys it's me again, hahahaha you guys know I just published another chapter yesterday after a month or maybe more. Now I will publish again.

I'll try to regularly publish chapters. But just for you to know, it takes me whole day just to complete a chapter because I couldn't stick to one scenario. It's even miracle that I manage to create this new chapter in just a short time.

Seriously I'm nothing good to sticking into one scenario because I cannot easily satisfy my self. It made me think that it might look lame or maybe boring.
