*Authors note: this is the first time I'm writing fanfiction, also my first language isn't English so I really don't know what I'm doing 😅. I hope you'll like the story.*
Hecate's POV:
I walked through the school corridors, it was only a few days till the summer holidays began. I liked to see what the studens were up to, since they were always talking about what they were going to do that summer. This time was different though, I had more thoughts than I usually had, Indigo and had made up and we decided that she would spend the summer with me, we were going to 'catch up all the lost time' as Indie liked to call it. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, 30 years is a lot and i honestly don't know what to do. Indigo keeps saying that it wasn't my fault, but both of us, since we were 'a bunch of ignorant little girls'. I still believed it was my fault, I broke the rules, I gave her magic and then she turned into stone."And we can make popcorn and s'mores!"Mildred's voice. I woke up from my thoughts, Mildred, Maud, Enid and Indigo were huddled together just a few steps away from me. They were going to have a sleepover at Mildred's, the first two days of summer holiday and now the were talking about what they were going to do. I stopped to listen. "And we can have a pillow fight! But probably before the s'mores, cause that would be a mess" Indigo laughed. So typical, I thought and I smiled.
"And we can watch lots of Netflix!" Enid said, they all agreed on that. "What's Netflix? Is that some kind of new dvd?" Indigo said.Everyone fell silent, I was shocked. How could I not have thought of that?! That poor girl knew nothing about the modern world! She knew nothing about how advanced the technology had gotten! Oh Merlin how could I have been so stupid!? This was once again all my fault!
Indigo's POV:
Everyone went silent and looked at me. Then I heard a soft voice behind me, "Indigo......" it was Joy, "Indigo, I- Everything has changed.....". She spoke so softly I almost couldn't hear it, I saw the pain in her eyes and that's when I realised I had been stupid. Of course, everything had changed! 30 Bloody years had gone by! How could I not have thought about that!? Not ever?! Everyone was still silent and I knew I had to say something. I decided to be typic Indigo and make the whole situation a laugh, "so.....uhm.....are flying cars a thin now?" I smiled, but everyone stayed silent and dead serious. "Indigo can I-" Joy stopped in the middle of het sentence and just transported us to her room."Indigo.....a long time has gone by and-" I didn't let her finish her sentence, I just knew she was going to blame herself once again for everything. "I know!" I said quickly, "and it's no-ones fault, if it was it would be mine. I hadn't even considered that the world would be a totally different place! It was stupid I know and I should have thought of it, but-". Now I wasn't allowed to finish my sentence. "It's not you're fault! And before you are going to say anything, I won't blame myself again. Indigo I'm sorry none of us ever thought about the fact that you don't know what the world looks like right now, but I promise I will try to help you catch up." She was the best, the absolute best! I smiled at her and said, "you're the best! I'm really looking forward to our 'catching in time plan'".
We hugged and Joy transported us back to the girls.Hecate's POV:
We hugged, it was all perfectly fine again. I transported us back to the girls and as we stood there I saw that the girls understood it was all fine now. Indie went to them and They walked on to their next class, talking about their upcoming sleepover. I knew it 'catching up time' wasn't going to be easy, but I also knew I had to stop blaming myself for everything and I would.
I looked at the girls walking in the distance, everything g was perfectly fine and normal and the last thing I heard made me gigle a bit, "but really, what on earth is Netflix?!"
