I ran out of the classroom. Oh my god! Why do I feel this way. I tried to open my locker but than Sam came up.

"Bethany are you okay?" October asked worried about me.

I ran off to the bathroom. I stopped in front of the mirror. I was crying and my face was as red as my hair. Oh my god. I smiled. I slid down the wall and layed my head on my knees.

"Fin....you were the best thing that happened to me. You're killing me!" I said crying my eyes out.

"Why!" I screamed.

I got up and headed to my next class. October was in there. She going to ask me something about it. I'll say I got sick. Yep that will work. I walk in and everyone look at me.

"Hey." I said getting in my set.

"Bethany. Are you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah I got sick." I said.

"Oh. Don't get throw up on me!" October said laughing.

This was Mr. Talker's class. He was the worst teacher ever but the best. All he did was talk. I guess the last name fits him. The was one of my bad classes. I never was good at social studies.

"Miss Kicker, what was the best thing that happened to you this summer break?" He asked smiling away.

"Nothing really. I did nothing." I answered.

"Oh." He look at me like I was lieing.

"Get out of here class!" He laughed.

I walked to my locker and unlocked it.

"Hey Bethany!" Carter ran up to me.

"Hey..." I said turning red.

"Are you going to health next?" He asked.

"Yeah. Just follow me." I said closing my locker.

We walk out to the football field. Well I never went to health. All coach did was let us play basketball. Good god it was boring. I usually just come out to the football field. I walk up to the top of the bleachers and sat in the shade.

"Where's everyone else?" He asked looking at me confused.

"I don't go to health. Usually you want to learn about the birds and bees again. Than go." I said smiling.

"Yeah no I don't want to hear that." He laughed.

I laughed too. Oh my god. I'm so....happy.

He made me laugh. He gave me this weird feeling of happiness and.....love.

"So...what do you do out here." Looking at me confused.

"Well I usually just listen to music or tan. One time I fall asleep but one of the football players woke me up." I said look out to the field.

"Wow. Well I'm going to do that than." He said.

He layed his head down on my lap. I turn red. Oh my god. What do I do? I like it but...that's it. I'm falling in love. That not supposed to happen. But he looks so cute asleep. He looks peaceful. Like a kitten kinda.

"Hey Bethany." He said with one eye open.

He pulled out an invitation and headed to me.

"Can you come with me? I mean as a friend I guess. She said choked up.

He turn bright red and smiled.

"Sure." I said with a smile.

"Come on let's go to lunch." He said get up.

He offer to help me up. Duh I took it. He ran down the steps all the way to the last step. He stopped and waited for me. I got to the second step and tripped.

"Ahhh!" I screamed.

"Bethany!" Carter shouted.

He caught me. He didn't let me fall. Unlike my friends would have laughed.

"Are you okay?" Carter asked.

He cared about me. He was like the boys here. He could actually care about me. If I was hurt or sad. Carter cared about me. I feel loved for once.

"Yeah. Thanks." I said

"Good. I don't want my best friend to get hurt." He said smiling.

We started to walk to lunch. Wow. My heart is beating so fast. I feel like I'm not in slow motion anymore. It's such a strange feeling. My face is so hot. Where is he going to sit? Is he going to sit with me?! Oh my god! Why am I so nervous about this? I'm never like this. Is it because of him? He makes feel so different. Like I'm important.

"Hey can I sit with you at lunch?" Carter said turning around.

"Yeah I eat outside. Do you mind eating with some girls? Their my only friends." I said nervously.

"Yeah! As long as their as cool as you." He said laughing.

I laughed. We walk in the lunchroom and grab lunch. We walk over to them.

"Hey guys." I said.

"Hey who's the new guy?" Amy asked.

"Yeah." Shouted October.

"This is Carter." I said happily.

"Hey guys" Carter said with a smile.

"Oh! Your the new student right." Sam said biting into her sandwich.

"Yeah." He said grabbing his apple.

"Ok. Let me introduce you to everyone. This is Sam." I pointed to Sam.

"Hey!" She said.

"This is Amy." I said pointing to Amy.

"Last and not least, October." I said with a laugh.

"Cool!" I didn't think I would make so many friends today." Carter said biting into his apple.

"Well", he look at me, "I made one best friend today." He smiled and turned red.

I turned red. I was so shocked. I'm his best friend. Oh my god! This is the best first day ever!

"Sam, Amy, and me are going to class. See y'all later." October said.

"Bye." Carter and I said.

"So, when do you want me to pick you up?" He asked.

"Umm...6:30 I guess." I said.

"Ok, cool!" He said loudly.

I grabbed his arm. "I live at Sam's house. Can you pick me up there?" I asked.

"Yeah. No problem." He said calmly.

"Thanks." I said.

"I've got to go to class. See you later. I'll pick you up around 6:30." He said and than winked.

"Ok bye." I said.

Oh my god. He winked at me. Ah! He winked at me! I need school to end now. I need to get ready!
