Karasuno in amusement park

01 | On the way

Countless amounts of training, practice matches and actual matches behind them, the Karasuno High School volleyball club was seated in a rented minibus making it's way to Tokyo.

This time, it wasn't for a match against Nekoma.

The excitement of the team members was for something completely else.

Thanks to Yachi's striking posters, and the coaches' endless calls to possible donors, the volleyball team had managed to gather more than enough money needed for travelling to volleyball matches around the country.

While trying to figure out what to do with the extra money, the adults had decided to give the team members and young managers a reward for their hard work.

That's why they were heading towards Tokyo. Their destination was a famous amusement park located in the capital.

The only thing Ukai yet regretted was not bringing earmuffs with him.

"Rock, paper, scissors! I WIN!!"

"LET'S GO THE BEST OF FIVE!"

"Sure! I'm not going to lose!"

"We'll see about that!"

"My winning streak will continue for eternity!"

"Will not."

"...paper, scissors! W-what? NO! I SHOULD'VE KEPT MY MOUTH SHUT!"

Feeling extremely jealous of the sleeping teacher next to him, Ukai decided enough was enough.

"I VERY MUCH AGREE!" he replied to Nishinoya's latest comment about keeping his mouth shut. The latter and his rock paper scissors rival Tanaka jumped from the sudden voice.

Sighing, the coach continued with a calmer tone: "I know you're excited, and I'm happy for that, but please make less noise. I don't want a headache before we even arrive."

Tanaka and Nishinoya looked defeated. "But then how will we decide which one of us is allowed to spend time with Kiyoko-san in the park?!"

Kiyoko seemed unbothered by the suggestion, but Ukai wanted to interrupt.

"I'm sure she can choose her company by herself," he stated with a tone that along with Daichi's glare made the two boys end the topic.

A few bench rows away, Tsukishima was awakening from his slumber. As Ukai suddenly shouted to Tanaka and Nishinoya, Yamaguchi had freaked out and accidentally hit his best friend in the face.

"What was that for?" Tsukishima snapped, peeking at his shorter friend from under his sleep mask.

"Sorry Tsukki I'm sorry!" cried Yamaguchi. "It was an accident!"

"Tch." The blonde switched the sleep mask to his glasses, keeping his headphones on. "Where are we?"

Yamaguchi was about to answer, but Hinata beat him to it.

"How long before we arrive?!" he whined. "I want to go to toilet!"

"Hinata you moron, you asked the same five minutes ago!" a certain setter next to Hinata yelled in his face.

"But I need to pee!"

Before Kageyma got the change to yell back, Yachi called for their attention, the map of the amusement park in her hands.

"We- we shouldn't be far anymore! Also the toilets are just by the entrance, Hinata-kun!"

"Yachi-san, do you see a house of mirrors anywhere?" Ennoshita asked from the back.

"A house of mirrors?" Kinoshita repeated.

"Yeah, it's like a house full of mirrors and you are supposed to-"
