The group stood in front of the missing poster of an Edward Corcoran "I hear they found part of his hand all the chewed up by the standpipe" someone said bit Harriet wasn't paying attention she was to busy watching Richie playing the tuba or trying to play the tuba at least "he asked to borrow a pencil once" Ben sighed "it's like she's been f-f-forgotten because Corcoran is missing" Bill frowned lifting up the missing poster of Ed Corcoran to reveal Betty's missing poster "what the fuck dude" Richie said as the dude snatched his tuba back "what are you guys talking about?" Eddie asked coming back with three ice cream cone handing one to Harriet and the other to Richie "thanks Eds" he smiled and locked his ice cream "what they're always talking about"  Richie said licking Harriet's cone "hey dickwad you got your own how come your taking mine" Richie shrugged "tastes like you" Harriet then licked Richie's ice cream "I think it will end for a little while at least" Ben spoke up all eyes turning to him "what do you mean?" Eddie asked "so I was going over all of my data research and I charted out all of the big events, the ironworks explosion in 1908, the Bradley gang in '35, and the black spot in '62 and now the kids being..." he didn't finish for fear of offending the losers who had lost someone "I realise all this stuff seems to happen every-"   "27 years" Bill said "21,22,23,24- oh you figured it out" Harriet stopped counting on her fingers as she realised they had figured it out "you still count on your fingers" Eddie asked "hey not everyones a math wiz like Bill okay" Harriet defended herself.

"okay so let me get this straight IT comes out from wherever to eat kids for like a year and then what? It just goes into hibernation" Eddie asked "maybe it's like what do you call it? Cicadas you know the bugs that come out once every 17 years" Stan said everyine nodded "my grandfather thinks this town is cursed he says that all the bad things that happened in this town are because of one thing an evil that feeds of the people of Derry but it can't be one thing we all saw something different" Mike said confused "maybe we see what scares us the most and that's what we see" Eddie shuddered "I- I saw a leper, it was like a walking infection" Stan looked at them all "but you didn't because IT isn't real none of this is not Eddie's leper or the woman I keep seeing" a look of fear crossed Stan's face "is she hot?" Bill asked the Hanlon boy nodded "yeah you guys know that burnt down house on Harris Avenue?" the group nodded "I was inside when it burned down before I was rescued my mom and dad where trapped in the next room over from me they were pushing and pounding on the door trying to get to me, but it was too hot when the firefighter found them the skin on their hands melted down to the bone" a tear left Mike's eye as Harriet wrapped her arms around him Mike hugging her back.

"We're all afraid of something" Bev said "you got that right" Richie said everyone turned to him "why Rich what are you afraid of?" Eddie asked the Tozier boy turned to look at the stage behind them where a group of clowns were preforming "clowns" he gulped "what about you Hattie" the group turned to the girl "being alone" Richie took her small hand in his.

Later that day the group were huddled inside the the Denbrough family garage "okay look storm drain that's where g-g-georgie disappeared there's the iron works and the black spot everywhere it happens it's-it's all connected by the sewers and they all meet up at-"  "the well house" Ben finished "that creepy ass house on Neibolt Street?" Harriet asked that house had given her nightmares when she first moved to Derry, Bill nodded "you mean the house where all the junkies and hobos sleep?" Richie asked Bill nodded again "I hate that place always feel like that place is watching me" Bev said Harriet nodded "that's where I saw IT, that's where I saw the clown" Eddie wheezed Harriet placed a comforting hand on his back and he gave her a thankful smile "t-t-t-th-thats where IT lives" Bill stuttered "can't imagine anyone wanting to live there" Richie said in disgust Eddie wheezed again "can we stop talking about this? I can barely breathe-it's summer we're kids, I can barely breathe I'm having a fucking asthma attack" Eddie stood up glaring at everyone he rips the map down off the wall "w-what the hell put the map back" Bill screeched "nu-uh" Eddie shook his head just then the projector started to flip through pictures of the Denbrough family zooming in on the youngest memeber. Bill whispered tears in his eyes then it zoomed in on Mrs. Denbrough her red hair covering her face but the face on the photo was not the face of Mrs. Denbrough ut the face of the clown Harriet screamed clutching Richie's arm "WHAT THE FUCK" Richie screamed grabbing Harriet "its IT" Mike said "yeah no shit Mike" Harriet shot back "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT" Richie screamed again "I DONT FUCKING KNOW" Eddie screamed "turn it off"  Bev shouted "yeah turn it off" Harriet shouted after her Bill stood frozen so Mike took action kicking the projector over it switched off and everyone let out a sigh of relief until it switched back on and the clown emerged from the screen everyone scream and fell back except Stan who stood paralysed with fear "Stanley m, Run" Harriet shouted Bill grabbed him and pulled him back as the clown started to crawl towards Beverly "Beverly!" Harriet cried as the redhead stumbled backwards screams bounced of the walls of the garage Ben opened the garage door and the clown was gone "thanks Ben" Bev said Bill looked to the projector to his friends "it saw us, it saw us and it knows where we are" Eddie rambled "it always knew" Stanley said "alright Stanley let's go" Bill said walking outside "go? Go where?" Harriet said walking out with him "Neibolt that's where g-g-geo-georgie is" Bill picked up his bike "yeah its summer we should be outside" Eddie said the Denbrough boy closed his eyes letting out a frustrated sigh "if you say it's summer on more f-f-f-f-fucking time".

"Bill wait!" the losers chased after there leader in hope of stopping him "look y-you don't have to come in there with me, but what happens when another Georgie goes missing" he looked to Harriet "or another Betty Ripsom" the girl whimpered at the mention of her friend "o-or another Ed Corcoran or one of us? Are you going to pretend it didn't happen like the rest of this town? Because I go home and all I see is that Georgie isn't there his clothes, his toys and his stupid stuffed animals but he isn't so walking into this house it's easier than walking into my own" Bill stated "wow" Richie said "what" Richie turned to look at the boy in front of them "he didn't stutter once".
