"(y/n)! (y/n), slow down!" My brother yelled
"Hurry up, Akira! You're so slow!" I yelled back, looking over my shoulder to grin at him. "Meet you back at home, bro!"
"No! (y/n), wait!" My brother shouted after me, but I ignored him and sped up, not bothering to look back again. Hi there. My name is (y/n) Yamatoga, and I am the younger sister of Akira Yamatoga. He's a whole two years older than me, and yet I am so much faster. My family is a bunch of musical prodigies, and we have been for centuries. The Yamatoga household has dominated the music industry for more years than actually necessary. And let me get something straight - I may come from a musical household, but that does not mean I have any musical talent whatsoever. Actually, I've been told I sound like a dying cat when I try to be musical in any sense. Some say it's a shame that I'm not like my brother, but I think I'm great, and that's all that counts. I stopped outside my head to catch my breath and then walked inside.
"Mum, Dad, I'm home!" I called as I opened the door, taking my shoes off as I got inside. I wonder what's for dinner. I'm starving.
"Perfect timing, (y/n)," Mum said, walking out of the kitchen to greet me, a wide smile on her face. I stared at her, confused. What the hell is she talking about? "We have a nice young man asking for you and your brother."
"You do? Who is he?" I asked, suddenly curious. Who could be asking for both of us? They usually want the music or the brains - never both. I am confused.
"He said his name is Zac. Zac the Sunrise." She told me, and my curiosity suddenly disappeared. He probably thinks I'm just as musically gifted as my brother, so asked for both of us. This is gonna get awkward. I guess I'll just have to wait for Akira to get here.
I shrugged "Never heard of him. It was probably a mistake asking for me, anyway. I guess we'll just have to wait for Akira."
"I didn't expect you to never have heard of me, because your brother knows me all too well." Came a British accent. I turned to see a boy standing in the kitchen doorway. His blonde hair was halfway down his back, and his ocean-blue eyes gleamed in the light as he wore a small smile on his face. "You look just like your brother. You two could pass off as twins."
It's true. The only thing that's particularly different about us is the length of our hair. We even have similar styles of clothing. I smiled and nodded. "I guess we could."
"Speaking of your brother, where is he?" Mum asked, giving me a concerned and annoyed look, already knowing that I ditched him on the way back home.
"He was taking too long, so I ditched him. He should be back soon." I replied, giving her a bright smile. Honestly, I don't know why she even bothers to ask. It's the same thing everyday, and it will probably never change.
"(y/n)!" Mum scolded me as Zac let out a small chuckle. Why is she scolding me for? I haven't done anything wrong this time! This ain't fair.
I shrugged and looked back at the blond, who had peaked my interest for the time being. He was about Akira's age, and quite attractive. He looks better than I do. Lucky bastard. I bet he doesn't even try. He seems like the guy who barely washes his face and still looks perfect. "So why are you here, pretty boi?"
"You'll see in due time." He told me, and I tilted my head to the side as I narrowed my eyes at him. What are you up to? Something irked me about him. I don't know why. The vibe just feels off. He feels off. I didn't like it. I wonder what Akira thinks of him.
The door was suddenly slammed open and Akira walked in, panting. He glared at me, his eyes full of fury. Why was he so annoyed at me? I didn't do anything wrong! It's not my fault his athleticism fails him, is it? I stared at him. "What's up, bro?"
