Goodbye

After last night's incident, Matt was confused but he could tell that there was something undeniable between the two. In the few times that had talked they could see that they were more alike then they thought. Even though he left last night Matt thought that maybe, just maybe they may become something more than roommates. While Matt was in his own little world, Nick came in and hugged him from behind. They both felt each others body and as Matt opened his mouth, Nick shushed him.
Just listen to me. I love you, okay! But...
There was only silence in the room, it was so silent that if you were attentive enough you could hear Matt's heartbeat.
I can't be with you, I'm gonna stay with Stacey. I'm sorry...
Like that he left the room, while Matt fell on his knees, he was so sad he didn't know what to do. Why was love such a hard thing to have, he never did anything bad to deserve this abandonment from everyone in his life.

Nick didn't come at all for two days,aftr the day he told Matt everything he hadn't left Stacey's side for even one minute. Everyone around them complimented them of how they looked so in love with each other.
That's right, this is where I belong. Stacey and I will always love each other, like we always did. She's the only one who can stay with me and accept me. I did the right thing...  I'm gonna be happier than ever!
He hugged Stacey tightly, the blonde didn't give it much thought, even though she had noticed that something was wrong with him. They had been friends since 10 she clearly knew something was off about him. That night one of their friends was having a party because he opened his own bar so she suggested that they go there and talk while having a drink.

Matt on the other side was packing his last things. He was moving to Germany where his sister lived, she had long told him to go there and help her with work and her daughter Pam who was just 1 year old. He had finally decided to stop for people to enter his life and make him happy, now he finally wanted to do something more rewarding than falling in love with people who don't love him back and don't care about him. It was clear this was going to happen. Why would he chose me instead of his girlfriend. I'm gonna leave and no one's gonna care, it's gonna be like i never was here. Sam who had heard  that Matt was leaving was sad so he invited him to go to the opening party so they can spend time one last time before Matt leaves tomorrow morning. When they arrived at the party they talked to a few people and Matt left to head to the bar to get himself a drink. There he spotted one person he didn't want to see tonight. That's right, it was Nick. Next to him in his embrace was a tall, blonde girl, she was really pretty her hair was long and wavy and she was wearing a black tight dress that accentuated her curves. Deep down he had hoped that she was ugly and arrogant, but in the contrary she was amazing and seemed energetic. Oh, words weren't enough to express how envious he felt at that moment. He wished with all his heart that he was in her place instead, hugging Nick and feeling his warmth but he wasn't a fool he knew that it was over, no, it was never even a thing. He turned his back and left, holding back his tears he whispered: Goodbye
