''Harry Potter''

Harry's stomach sank. Terror and anxiety swarmed him at the call of his name. He didn't put his name in the goblet! He wouldn't dare and he knows this but Severus didn't and if that didn't fill him with enough shame to kill him then he can just call himself immortal right then and there.

Logically he knows that Severus does though, why wouldn't he know? He's a good boy for Severus, he wouldn't dare go against his orders. Especially anything that risks his health, much less life, but the panic and fear is clouding his rational side. He barely registers his name being called again, the murmures from the students and staff alike or Hermione nudging him to go up. Shaking, Harry slowly got up and walked up to the front. His wide pleading eyes immediately sought out Severus's. Needing orders, comfort, just anything right now. As soon as Harry locked eyes with the man, he knew that the potions master was mad. Very mad. Ducking his head he had to press his nails into his palms to bite back a whimper.

Dumbledore didn't say anything as he silently led Harry through the door the champions had just walked through.

The atmosphere was tense as Severus and Harry silently walked to their chambers. If it wasnt so, the stark difference between the men would be comical. The tall, cold dungeon bat with his head held high, face as passive as ever but a dangerous aura surrounding him. Compared to the small terrified boy with a pale face and shaking figure keeping his usual respective distance behind him.

Once they arrived Severus didn't even use his own hand to open the door like he usually did, the door opened just as they got there making Harry shiver. Seeing the clear sign of the man's anger. Without stopping they both walked through the doorway before the door slammed shut quite forcefully. As scared as Harry was, reflexes took over sending him to his knees as soon as he heard the door close behind them. He brought his hands to his lap, wringing them together.

The second Severus turned around Harry spoke. Merlin, he knows it's against the rules and he's going to be punished for it, forced to feel the shame at being even more of a disobedient pup on top of everything but he was past the point of rational thought. He was scared shitless and way too close to breaking down to care. He needed Sev to know that he didn't do it. That his precious pup did not disobey him. Especially not for his most important order, to stay safe.

''I'm sorry I know I'm not supposed to talk but I swear you have to believe me! I didn't put my name in the goblet. I-I would never do that. I would never intentionally go against you like that. Please Sev you have to believe me i'm sorry. I didn't do it. Please don't be mad at me, it- it wasn't me i swear... please'' He pleaded close to histaria, voice cracking near the end.

Severus' whole demeanor softened a bit at that as he looked Harry over. The boy was clearly tense and terrified, curling into himself. He looked ready to break, making Severus's heart clench at the situation and how hurt his precious boy is. Gently walking towards him, he immediately cursed himself for not hiding his anger better when he saw Harry flinch. Clearly expecting punishment. Or something worse his mind unhelpfully supplied.

''Please.. don't disown me... it wasn't me. I swear'' a small voice brokenly rasped out.

If Harry was looking up he would have seen the horror and hurt on Severus's face.

''My love'' was all Harry heard before he felt familiar warm colluse hands ever so gently grabbing his cheeks to lift his head up. Now face to face with the man, Harry can finally see the adoration and love in the man's eyes. He immediately let out a shuddering breath and relaxed a bit seeing that Severus wasn't as angry with him as he thought. It's just a false sense of security before he lets you go for ruining everything.
