The smallest suitcase is the last one to be placed in an empty bunk. It sitting directly next to Ricky's belongings. He had almost looked defeated when he had ran through the front door, as if he didn't want you there.

He felt forced.

In some sense, you can't really blame him considering the situation the two of you had been pushed into.

He had practically rushed you as soon as he got in, telling you to gather your things. Grab what you need for a month for touring. Extra pillows and covers. Makeup, whatever it was females needed.

He would wait, but make it fast.

He had stood at the door the whole time, watching as the suitcases built up. Anxiety overwhelming your very mind as you gathered what you felt was necessary and then some.

It had been awkward the moment you stepped on the bus. All eyes on you, figuring you out as walked by them. The red suitcases being carried by Ricky who was struggling at it was.

It was silent.

As if you were the new kid.

Expect, you knew them just not the way Ricky did.

Five men.

One female.

You'd just avoid them at all costs.

The string that dangles from your jeans has your full focus, not the tv in the background. Not the sound of the guys who all sit on the couch side by side yelling at the video game that is on the tv screen.

It had been like this for hours now.

Besides the sounds of the background noises, no one had really spoken. As if they were unsure what to say, what to offer.

Most that had been spoken was the fact the back bedroom in the back of the bus was yours. As if they knew how awkward things were between Ricky and you.

You were so over the awkward feeling.

Unwelcoming, a feeling that had been what you were growing a custom too these days.

The couch dips beside you, the one space no longer empty beside you. The kid looks younger than the rest of them. Not filled with tattoos along his arms and neck, his hair curly and a mess. He turns to meet your eyes, "Hi. I'm Vinny."

A small uncertain smile tears at your lips, your voice just a whisper as you say a hello back to the kid. His hand reaches out to you, holding it there as the other hand of his holds the remote control to the game.

It takes the kid a minute to register, but he understands. His hand pulling back to where it was before.

"It's okay. I understand."

He is trying to figure you out.

He's the first one to really reach out, to speak and while he knows his group of friends are just as confused. He doesn't quite find it as fair that they are unsure what to say to you.

It's all he says as he keeps the same smile on his face, his focus on the game once again.

"You can always join in you know."

He gives a goofy grin, "There's a controller right over there."

Your eyes dart to the remote, before darting to Vinny again. A small whisper coming from your lips to thank the kid before you shake your head.

"I think imma just go nap or something."

Ricky stares at you from where you sit on the round bed in the back room, a book in your hand as you keep your focus on the page versus him. He is torn.

It's silent on the bus, nice and quiet.

Everyone off doing their own thing, yet all he can do is stand here and figure out the current situation that lead you to be here. What he can do to make you feel more welcome. Yet, he runs blank.

He knows at this rate, it's gonna come to a head. It's gonna come back and crash down on him like a plague. It will need to be discussed even if it ends up to be the worse thing, but it needs to happen.

He just doesn't know how.

"You know, this is gonna be awkward for all of us."

Chris speaks up as he reaches into the fridge, grabbing the pumpkin spice creamer out of it.

"You are gonna have to figure out a way to make her come out of the shell of hers."

Ricky turns to face the lead singer, an eyebrow raised at the man with a distaste.

"It reminds me of you when you first started in this band."

Chris smirks, "And she is your wife."

Chris leans against the counter top, "Might wanna get that figured out dude. It will become a bigger problem if you don't."

Ricky's eyes turn back to where you are.

Unsure is the proper feeling.
