Aidan and Y/N are best of friends since they were 4. They have this favorite spot at the park where they always go after school to eat snacks that they bought outside the school. It's not a secret to anyone that the two have a strong connection.

"Hey Aidan!" The young lady came and sat beside him.

"Hi there, Y/n." He said and a wide smile suddenly came in his face.

"are you alright? you seem sad." She asked but Aidan just nodded and looked at the other way.

"You know there's a new girl coming at the school, she's the talk of the town." Y/N said as she looked away from Aidan.

"Yeah right? Don't care about the girl because I have you as my best friend!" Aidan said and hugged Y/N.

"yeah your... best friend." Y/N said in a kinda sad tone.

That afternoon happened so fast that she didn't even notice everything as she went upstairs after dinner to call Aidan.

"I've change my mind! Look at the girl! Wait let me just send the picture!" Aidan said to Y/N as they were talking about the new girl again.

"Yeah she's definitely gorgeous." Y/N said as her insecurities came back again.

"She's a goddess. I bet she's going to be a popular girl." Aidan said and you can see that she's admiring the new girl.

That evening was the last evening that Y/N would be close to Aidan.

It's morning and it's time for school. As usual Aidan would walked with Y/N to school but the girl has been waiting for him for like 30 minutes but Aidan still no where to be found.

Then she received a message from him saying.

"I'm sorry Y/N. I can't pick you up right now. Remember the new girl? Her name is Natasha. She's actually kinda fun. Anyway I'll see you later at class." That's the message she received from Aidan and because he didn't pick her up she need to walk to school.

As she reached the class, she saw the new girl Natasha sitting in her chair but since she doesn't want to cause any fight, she let that one slide.

She sat at the last row near the window just so she can erase her mind from the sudden changes but she can't stop looking at them.

Aidan is smiling widely and she can't stop thinking about what Aidan said yesterday at their favorite spot.

"The new girl stole your man." My classmate, Mira said.

"He's not even mine. We're just friends. Best of friends." She responded but Mira keeps on looking at Y/N and Aidan's seat then shrugged her shoulders.

Y/N doesn't seems to like what's happening. She tried to ignore all the sudden changes but it does bother her.

"Y/N! What's the answer to this?" The teacher called her attention.

"World war 2?" Y/N answered and everyone started laughing.

"That's actually a right answer... But to a different subject." The teacher said and proceed to call another student.

Aidan looked at Y/N's direction but she didn't even look at him.

After the class, Aidan went over to Y/N to ask her to have lunch with them.

"Hey Y/N! I'm sorry that I didn't pick you up earlier. I'll treat you now." Aidan said with a smile.

"Yeah sure." Y/N responded and they both went in the cafeteria as they saw Natasha at the entrance probably waiting for Aidan.
