"Kai!" Running up to him you nearly fell, grabbing his head and cradling him in your arms. His head was bleeding, and he had a big cut near his temple. His breath was short and raspy but he managed to slit his eyes open a bit.

"Y/n..."

"Kai! Who did this to you? How did you get here? Are you okay?" You were on the verge of tears, his helpless face sending shivers down your spine. He looked at you, his light blue eyes seeming dull. He closed them as his body contracted into a tight coughing fit, his whole body scrunching together.

"I'm... dying..." he breathed out between coughs. "He... let me see you before... before I-" he started coughing again, blood dribbling down his chin.

"No! You're not going to die, don't say that! Please Kai, you've fought this long. You can't give up now. We need you. Remember my promise? I'm going to take you and Mary to see the stars! The stars! We're going to have a big house, each of us with our own room. We won't have to fight for food and you won't be sick anymore! Please..." you felt his body beginning to slow down and you embraced him in a tight hug. You couldn't help but let out a low wail, tears streaming down your cheek. You felt Mary place her hand around you, as well as Bella.

"...don't go..." You felt him cough again, but his breath seemed to be weaker than earlier. You pulled him closer, gently stroking his hair. "Please Kai..."

"You look so helpless, huddled together."

Jolting around, your eyes were met with something that almost made you barf. Danny. You could feel your anger rising and you let go of Kai and launched yourself at the boy. He didn't move, and instead let you tackle him. You fell on top of him, and he just grinned, pulling you closer. Leaning into your ear, he whispered;

"I wouldn't do that if it were you. I'm barely able to control myself right now, and if you keep touching me like this, I'm afraid I'll lose my sanity." His voice sent a shiver down your spine, for some reason making your legs feel weak. You struggled to get off him, but he just pulled you closer. So close your head was touching his chest.

"Let go of me!" You screech, trying to get away. He obeyed, releasing you from his grip. You scrambled up, taking out your favorite knife from your shoe. You aimed it at his neck, and he held his arms out in defense.

"I didn't come here for a fight. I came here to tell you something you might love me for." You growled at him, not putting the knife down. "I could never love you." He shrugged, his smirk gone.

"You could. I just need to make you. But I'm not here for that, like I said. If you don't want it, then I can just leave and let you watch Kai die while you could've been saving his life." Your body tensed, and you looked over to Kai. He was watching with sad, tired eyes. Mary was beside him while Bella was standing, trembling and afraid. Turning back to Danny, you clenched your teeth. I fell for his trap again.

"It's your choice." He told her, taking a step towards the door. When you didn't answer, he shrugged and opened the door. "Wait!" You hesitated before calling out. He turned back, a smug grin plastered across his face.

"How can I help him?" You felt awful for asking for his help, but it was the only way. Swallowing your pride, you lowered your weapon. His grin grew and he took out a blade to observe it.

"We'll make a deal. I tell you where you can find some Fegz-2, and you turn yourself in to me." Of course. You scowled, feeling a pit of fury rising in your stomach. Of fucking course he would pull something like this.
