—-Damn, pick up the phone, oh, I know I'm drunk again
And you know my intentions cause it's two AM
—-
Someone's got to be dying right now.
That was the only excuse Katsuki will tolerate for having his scarce sleep disturbed.
Eying the clock on his nightstand, the blonde-haired hero hisses louder than he should.
He picked up his ringing phone, he answered the call without bothering to look up who might it be. It doesn't matter who this fucker is, they surely will get a piece of me. He thought.
"The fuck you want? If you don't know how to fucking read a damn clock, FYI it's two fucking AM in the goddamn morning." He demanded to the person in the other line.
When the only response Katsuki got was a labored breath, he took the time to look up at the caller ID. His heart sank faster than the Titanic.
"What the hell Deku?" he asked again through the line.
The man in the other line chuckled bitterly and spoke.
"I'm outside"
The whole fucking zoo in Katsuki's stomach went riot.
"I will ask you one more time Deku, what the hell?" the blonde demanded angrily. Whether he was angry because Deku was outside his apartment or because of how he felt when he knew that the nerd was just a few steps away from him, he has no clue.
It's been two months since the engagement was announced.
Deku, the useless fucker, apparently had knocked up the Prime Minister's daughter while he and Katsuki were on call off after a major fight. When the news came out that she was pregnant out of wedlock, the public was enraged by such indecency. And as icing to the fucking cake, witnesses were claiming that she and Deku were found fooling around that time of the speculated conceiving. There's no use denying then. The two were forced to get engaged and marry to dissipate the public turmoil.
The whole thing was a goddamn sucker punch to Katsuki's gut. Regret and pain washed over him as it finally sunk in that his fucking pride cost him the love of his life. If he wasn't just impossibly stubborn and said he's fucking sorry, he might have been enjoying his damn sleep being held in Izuku's firm arms. And not fucking torn between jumping out of the door and hugging the man he wants to spend the rest of his life with or jumping out the window from the 30th floor of his apartment building. He's also tempted of doing both simultaneously.
"Kacchan please." Deku pleaded. Katsuki heard a loud thud, on the other line. Deku must have slumped against the door. By the sound of it, the green-haired hero must be on the verge of crying.
Deku is still and will always be Katsuki's weakness.
Breathing out a deep sigh, Katsuki got out of the bed and headed to the front door of his two-bedroom apartment, the apartment that used to be theirs.
Opening the door, the other man leaning on it fell on the floor. Instead of being annoyed by the movement of the door, he was desperately leaning into, the dumbass was smiling impossibly wide at the sight of the love of his life.
"Kacchan" he called.
By the smell and the disheveled look of the other man, Katsuki figured he was pissed drunk.
"Go home, nerd. You're drunk." Katsuki instructed, clenching his hand on the door handle and the doorframe to keep himself from touching the one he wanted to touch badly for fucking months now.
"But I'm home now." The man who is still lying on the floor said.
Katsuki's knees weaken and almost lost his composure by the statement. Trust the fucking nerd to be so fucking sap.
Izuku raised his arms reaching for Katsuki hoping the blonde will reach out too.
—-
I know, I know how to drive you wild
You know, you know how to make me smile
—-
To Izuku's pleasure, Katsuki did reach out and pulled him to his feet.
But the pleasure was cut off when the green-haired man tried to hug his ex-boyfriend. The blonde abruptly placed a hand on the other's chest and pushed him outside the door.
"Go home Izuku, your future family is waiting for you." Was the blonde's final statement before slowly closing the door.
Goodbye Izuku, I'm letting you go.
It was the hidden meaning of Katsuki's words.
Katsuki waited till he hears frantic running outside his door before collapsing against it.
—-
I know, I know who you really are
You know, you know how to break my heart
But I need you to be
My ancient history
—-
Katsuki cried himself to sleep slumped on the cold floor against the hardwood door.
