"I'm sorry, you've been misinformed!
This is just a never ending labyrinth and nothing more!
Endless circles of fear
Chasing cries of children that seem so near!
Out of reach
You will never find them!
Don't you see
This is where your story ends!."
I knew that I needed to find [Y/N] again. Yeah, yeah, I guess that I need to find my dad too, but he's... well, he's my father. And [Y/N] was literally just about to fully get her quirk.
You see, the day that we can get our quirks, in order for it to fully work, it is required to get a full 8 hours of sleep at least. Weird, right? So, if she were to have woken up in the middle of the night, that means that she only has half of her quirk. Now, you might be thinking, "But Michael, can't she just go to sleep again and get all of her quirk?" The short answer is no. It has to be 8 hours straight and if you don't get it completely on the first try, you won't get the rest of your quirk.
Now, that might not seem that bad, but the thing is, anyone who tries to use their quirk and is only half-way done getting their quirk, can't use it for very long. Everytime they use their quirk, they get weaker and weaker until they die. So, yeah, it's pretty bad.
Flashback
{[Y/N]'S POV}
I remember that it was one Friday after school when Michael and I were taking the bus home from school. We were 15 at the time. It was only high schoolers on the bus today and all of the middle schoolers and elementary school students had already been dropped off at their destinations.
"Hey, doesn't our bus driver look familiar?" I said in a hushed tone to Michael, Frederick and one of my other friends.
"Yeah, he looks like that serial killer from the one movie that came out last Halloween," my friend answered.
"Right?!" Frederick whisper-yelled.
I sat back and looked out the window, soon realizing that I didn't recognize where we were. This was the correct route. Right? Yeah, everyone that's on this bus normally takes route 4 home. "Um, sir, I think that this is the wrong way," I heard one student say to our bus driver. He didn't answer. "Sir?"
"Okay, guys, if we all die today, I swear," one other student said. We heard chatter arising from everyone. Then, we reached a spot where it looked like we were in the woods. And this was before smartphones, so we couldn't just call someone. Plus, if we did have modern day devices, we'd have no service.
He was not in the right mindset. I thought back to every horror story I could think of that had situations like this, some real, some fake and some just urban legends that we had no idea if they were real or made-up. I knew instantly that he was trying to kill us all. I could practically feel the fear arising from everyone. Some people were taking it as a joke and others were genuinely scared. One girl was crying, I could hear her. I didn't blame her. It's already so stressful.
Then, it was within a few seconds that our bus driver swerved off of the road and over a ledge that wasn't as high as a cliff, but considering that we were right next to a hiking trail, was still really high up. I was frozen in shock and felt someone wrap their arms around me. Maybe it was Michael instinctively trying to protect me. A few people were heard screaming. It felt like we were falling in slow motion.
After that, we hit the bottom. I was in pure shock. It took me a few seconds to figure out if I was dead or not. We were sideways, I could feel that my face was against the cold window. I slowly sat up and could see other students doing the same. "Is everyone okay?!" one person called out to everyone. There was a chorus of 'yeah' and 'I'm okay'. There was one guy whose leg was stuck beneath a seat and one of the windows (don't ask me how that happened) and 3 people were knocked unconscious, including our bus driver.
We had all managed to get out, leaving the bus driver behind and analyzing the area that we were in. Mrs. Afton had gone for a hike down here back in the summer that I was 13.
Nobody was sure what exactly had happened, but we were all thankful that we were only... well, emotionally scarred. I wanted to cry, but didn't. I had to stay strong. But now the only question on our minds was, "How are we gonna get home?"
"Oh my God, what the hell was that?!" Michael exclaimed.
"Isn't it obvious?" one student replied. "He's a sociopath!" I felt like there was just something wrong. I'd had a dream that was similar to this one event. This exact one. It was like my brain was anticipating this to happen. And I didn't like it at all. Were some of us gonna die? I recall that in my dream, some of us died. Well, I guess that I should be calling it a nightmare. You see, Chris and I had started getting night terrors at around the same time, although his were killer animatronics and mine were more about serial killers and such.
But another thing is that, one of the dreams that I'd been having was where I was in this lab and Mr. Afton was running tests on me that just put me in so much pain. I have no idea if these are supposed to mean anything to me or not, but they were just downright scary. And I could actually feel the pain in both the dreams that were similar to this one and the night terrors that involved situations like this.
End of the flashback.

We're just cartoons for your portrayal
To tell some tale about a boat and sail
But sure this inevitably unveils the fail."
