Part 18: A hurdle

Everyone left the company when Y/n texted Jaemin.
"Thank you for today:)."He replied with-"I can do it for my friend right".After reading it Y/n felt a little upset because he said friend.It didn't mean anything to him,nothing special.Y/n cried that night thinking the feelings are not mutual.
Next day when we reached the company the dreamies met us at the cafeteria.Haechan & Jaemin went for ordering."Ping"a message popped up on the phone beside me from A girl named Ryu.It was Jaemin's phone.The text read "Meet you tonight boy;)"It made
Y/n's heart drop she didn't know what to say.Jeno noticed the change in expression in her face."What is it?Everything alright?he asked."Yes yes" she said with a smile.Jaemin & Haechan came back when y/n stood up & went to the practice room for practicing.The other members were still with dreamies.
Y/n was frustrated,upset & felt lonely at this moment.She was very upset about thinking Jaemin liked her too.
Days passed on Y/n had not been properly talking to Jaemin for months now.
They again meet at the practice room.Everyone knew how close ryu & Jaemin got in the meanwhile they hangout & spend a lot of time together.While on the otherhand everyone noticed how the smiley & cheerful Y/n was gone.Y/n had not been seen happy for a long time.
Jaemin tried contacting her but she would say she's busy & hang up.Rumours started about Ryu & Jaemin dating.
Today at the practice room they saw how she faked a smile at them & performed with no intrest.Jaemin looked at her with a lot of concern in his eyes.Y/n seemed to notice but thought it was only because he considered her as a "Friend".Y/n was drinking water when a pretty girl wearing skirt & a top entered and hugged Jaemin.Seeing that Y/n couldn't help but try not to cry knowing it was Ryu.
Jeno & Mark knew about her feelings they went to her and tried distracting her by talking.She started performing her song when everyone was awestruck at how good she did.Jaemin came to her and before he could even say a word "Hi,I'm ryu"the girl said smiling."Hey,"I said in a low voice.While Jaemin opened his mouth when I cut him off by saying"Sorry a little busy,talk to you later"Smiling and went off.
Y/n went to the restroom and started sobbing.Jenelia entered knowing how she would be.She hugged y/n tightly patting her back.They went back to the practice room & y/n's face was red as she cried a lot.Jaemin knew about this."Hey everything's alright?"He asked concerned.I nodded as I picked my stuff and went.
She ignored all the texts and calls from Jaemin.
At the award show,y/n was wearing a off shoulder dress which showed her pretty body perfectly.She was talking to some guy.Jaemin saw it and had a really annoyed face when the guy hugged her.Y/n was smiling & laughing while talking to him.He couldn't get that out of his mind the whole show.In the breaks he would pass her looks but didn't say anything.At the end when they were bidding apart when the guy said he liked y/n and before she could answer Jaemin heard it and walked and grabbed her wrist pulled her towards him & said to the guy"You mind keeping your hands to yourself & not giving her eyes anymore,she's not gonna be your girlfriend, so you better stop"&with that we left.We were in the green room."What the hell is wrong with you?"I yelled at Jaemin."What is wrong with me?What's wrong with you Y/n?He said."Why are you being so close to that guy,you won't date him anyways will you?He said in a scary tone."Yes I will&what is the problem with you?"I said.He scoffed and said"Don't play these games with me y/n"."what is the problem I'm not playing any games,What am i not allowed to date ?Why can't I get close to a boy?Whats wrong?You like me you don't right?Then stop with the bullshit?"I said almost breaking into tears."It's not about that but you can't date someone"He said frustrated looking down."Why can't I he loves me there's nothing wrong with it ,He had the courage to own up & say it out loud then why can't i give it a try?Aren't you dating Ryu anyways so don't make a fuss?I said as a tear rolled down my eyes."Waittttt!!!!"
