Caught In The Spotlight

As Y/N turns herself around to the person she sees none other than Oliver standing in the doorway

Y/N: Excuse me

Oliver smiles at Y/N's innocence licking his lips in the process. Like a hunter he protrudes onto his prey slowly walking towards Y/N. With a few strides he is in front of her. Y/N just stands there in confusion like she's been caught like a deer in the headlights

Oliver: I said it's rude to stare at someone when they are asleep

She was in shock did he know she was watching him

Y/N: I-I have no idea what your talking about

Oliver: You don't need to pretend Y/N you can trust me

She was confused on what he meant. She felt flustered as she came height to height with Oliver. His face so close to hers, she couldn't bear it but to turn towards the pool to take a breather
Whilst her back was turned to him he took the opportunity to hug her from behind. She was flustered to say the least. She could feel his heart beating in his chest

Oliver: Beautiful night isn't it

We both looked up at the stars

Y/N: Yeah it is

Oliver: But not as beautiful as you

Y/N's POV

Oliver: But not as beautiful as you

Did I hear right. As he said those words his face went into the crock of my neck. That was until I broke out of his embrace

Y/N: Oliver what-

He interrupted me

Oliver: Y/N I know I shouldn't fall so fast but I'm taking a risk here. I can't deny it I like you Y/N

I swore the crickets were louder in the midst of the silence. I didn't know what to say at this point
Then I remembered Ty's words

"Don't fall in love with them"

I quickly moved back. I could see hurt written across his features

Oliver: Y/N-

This time I interrupted him

Y/N: Oliver look I like you too not because you said it but I've liked you since I entered this home
Your vibe and aura is what attracted me to you. But I can't be with you

Oliver: why not we like each other so why don't we give us a go

Y/N: it's complicated Oli

Oliver's POV

Oliver: What do you mean? I don't understand

I was confused on what was going on. She says she likes me but doesn't want to give us a go.

Y/N: Look-

"I think that's enough for tonight guys" a voice called out

We both turned to see Kane and Ryan standing at the doorway

Ryan: dude you guys are so loud we can't sleep

Oliver: I'm sorry but I can't sleep unless Y/N explains to me what she meant

Ryan: what are you talking about dude

Kane: Y/N did you tell him

Oliver: Tell me what

I looked at Y/N

Y/N: I can't be with you because I can't trust guys at least not yet

With that she walked into the house. Now i'm confused. Ryan went back into the house. and I turned to Kane for answers

Oliver: What did she mean she can't trust guys

Kane sighed heavily we sat down by one of the poolside chairs and he began the story....

Kane: It began last year Y/N was in a five year relationship with her ex-boyfriend. it wasn't all peaches and rainbows. Her boyfriend was very abusive throughout the whole relationship. Possessive, controlling and manipulative. To the point where he banned her from seeing her own family and friends for a whole six months. it was that bad. One day she just came home with a ton of bruises on her face and a broken jaw. That's when Ty lost it. He called the police on him. and now he's in prison awaiting trial. Since then Ty restricted Y/N so much even banning her from getting into relationships with anyone because of what happened. Since then Y/N never trusted any male figure except those who are close to her.

 Oliver: Shit

Kane: but after witnessing tonight I can see my sister is in love with you, i just heard her confess 

Oliver: I didn't mean it to be like this, I just couldn't hold it in 

Kane: And I'm sure she'll soon understand. Till then give Y/N some space and don't worry this stays between me you and Ryan I'll make sure of it, or else Ty we'll have or necks

Oliver: Thanks bro

Kane: No worries bro, now that was twice in a night, please at least get some sleep it's 4am and I'm tired

We both called it a night and I went to mine and Sebastian's room. My brother was out like a light. I know we'll have to be up soon so i decided to sleep. My feelings was still up in the air. now I understood how Y/N felt i should've been patient. Damn it
