Narrator: The world was once a happy place. Just before I was even 6 years old however, it all changed... Love became hate... Peace and prosperity became destruction and poverty... Everything... is almost gone... All that remains are ruins and old ancient looking relics made by Soviet Communists... However, me and my friends... The Freedom Fighters... decided it was time to take back what once was ours. No... Not ours, everybody's.

Humphrey (Narrator) comes running in front of you in a black background.

Humphrey: Oh hey! Was lookin' for you. Damn I hate dark black areas... Not only creepy, but hard to navigate through. Anyway, I'm gonna tell you a story of my life. How things went from bad to worse but better. You'll hear some happy and depressing things from me. Be prepared... for one hell of a ride... Here, I'm 37 so lemme back up about 36 years for ya.

36 Years Earlier:

We see a baby Humphrey playing in the grass and enjoying himself.

Humphrey: There's little ol' me, man was I cute...

We see baby Humphrey try to grab his feet but ends up falling on his back laughing.

Humphrey: Haha!! Man I miss those times... I wish so much I could go back... Well, I'm gonna shut up so you can enjoy the story. Shall be back!!

In the story:

It was around 2:30 pm on a Friday. Little Humphrey was playing around in the grass until his mother retrieves him.

Gwen: Come on sweetie, time for your nap.

She says as she picks him up from the grass. The family lived in the middle of the country as they hated loud noises and loved the peaceful quietness.

She was getting ready to take him inside until she heard a familiar voice.

????: Afternoon Gweny.

Gwen's ears immediately perked up as she knew exactly who was behind her.

Gwen: Don't you have a Communist Party you need to get back to?

Gradius, Humphrey's grandfather, was slightly annoyed that remark.

Gradius: They can wait. I came to see my grandson.

Gwen immediately became extremely agitated as she knew his goal was to make Humphrey a Communist.

Gwen: So you don't bother to show up to your son's wedding but you'll show up to turn my son into a Communist?

Gradius knew she was right, but didn't care.

Gradius: That's exactly right!!

Gradius had said with such glee.

Gwen: You'll go nowhere near him...

Gradius began getting agitated as he wanted his grandson.

Gradius: Hand him over or I will take him from you.

Gwen grows very furious over Gradius.

Gwen: Go to hell Gradius...

Gradius placed his right hand near his side and formed a pink sword with lightning forming around it.

Gradius: Let's try that again... You give him to me or I will take him from you.

Gwen became more protective over Humphrey. While holding Humphrey in her left arm, she placed her right hand near her side and formed a yellow sword with lightning forming around it turning into fire.

Gwen: You'll have to try and take him from me...

Gradius gets ready to fight until he hears a very familiar voice call out.

????: That's enough!!

Michael, Humphrey's father, was walking out of the house and saw Gwen and Gradius fighting.

Michael: Dad, you need to leave. You know you're unwelcome here.

Gradius decided to act wise.

Gradius: Well I'm not exactly on your property. If you look, I'm right behind your fence. So technically, you can't tell me to leave this area.

Michael just ignored him and warned him again.

Michael: Leave right now dad. I mean it.

Gradius knew he was defeated and decided to give in.

Gradius: You know I don't give up, but you win this round...

Gradius then turned around and began walking away. Before he left, he turned his head back.

Gradius: I won't stop until I have him. You know that right?

Gwen and Michael just turned around and walked back into the house while ignoring Gradius.

Michael closes the door after walking into the house.

Michael: He really just needs to give up on trying to get Humphrey. He's never gonna get him.

Gwen has some concerns over Humphrey's safety.

Gwen: I get more and more worried. I may be a fighter, but even my own bravery has its limits.

Michael knows Gwen is concerned but they both know they can't move again.

Michael: Well moving is out of the question. I could build a bunker if needed.

Gwen gets a little irritated as it could've been done at the other houses they lived in.

Gwen: Then why the hell didn't you at the last house?!

Michael becomes dumbfounded as he had no good answer.

Michael: Uhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmm... I have no good answer...

Gwen then lightly zaps Michael with her lightning power.

Michael: Ouch!! Hey!

Gwen: That's what you get for not doing what you should've done for the past year!!

Michael: Ok ok! Sorry.

Gwen carries Humphrey to her room and lays him down in his crib already asleep.

Gwen: Tomorrow, we build that bunker.

Michael knew it had to be done quick. Gradius would stop at nothing to get Humphrey.

Michael: Ok. I'll start tomorrow.

Humphrey (Narrator): So the bunker is built and all. Problem, it ain't much of a bunker if dad builds it haha. By the next morning, a bunker had been build in as little as 12 hours.

The bunker was simply meant to be big. However, Dad ha gone a little overboard.

Gwen makes her way while carrying Humphrey down into the bunker only to find out it was bigger than needed.

Gwen: Jesus Christ Michael...

Michael: What'da ya think? Like it?

Gwen: I said build a bunker... Not an underground house...

Humphrey (Narrator): Ok, so my dad went a little overboard when building the bunker. Seriously... you could've lived down there your whole life and nobody would've known you lived there hahaha.

Michael decides to act wise: You say build, and I build.

Gwen knew what Michael was trying to do and laughed a little.

Gwen: Hahaha... Ok fine. However... I said build a bunker, not a house.

Michael: So?? It's a safe place from Gradius. Plus, I made a church in here to so we can continue to practice Baptism.

Gwen: Got a map for this place?

Michael began feeling very stupid realizing I didn't even bother to make a map.

Michael: Ummmmmmmmm... Heh heh heh...

Gwen felt irritated due to possibly having to make a map.

Gwen: Seriously...? Seriously Michael...? YOU BUILD A FUCKING UNDERGROUND HOUSE AND  DON'T EVEN BOTHER MAKING A MAP!?
