Due to his good looks and quiet charm, Jaemin was overloaded with love confessions. He became accustomed to politely declining them all until one day a confession came to him that sparked his interest.

After seeing the senior search for his poems every Monday and smile at them, the admirer's heart was sparked with joy. So on that one cloudy day, he finally decided to make a move. But without an ambush, the charming boy would pass him by like he did every day in school.

Jaemin finished basketball practice around 5pm and stopped by his locker to change his footwear before heading home. When he closed the door he cursed out loud in notice of the figure standing beside him.

"Hello!" the boy practically shouted, "I'm p-p-Park Jisung, grade 10!" While bowing, his green backpack flew over his head.

"I know," Jaemin replied flatly as if he's noticed the shy boy all along.

Jisung hadn't actually heard his voice before, it was like a sweet and soft baritone, pleasant to his ears. He rose slowly, with the bag readjusting on his back. "You k-k-know?" he stuttered.

The senior reached into his pocket and pulled out a small blue note that contained a written poem, "Do these belong to you?" he inquired.

Jisung shook his head hesitantly, unsure if he should be admitting it or apologizing. His cheeks were flushed with red. "They belong to you."

Jaemin's lip curled into a half smile, feeling a bit flattered. "Na Jaemin, grade 12." He then reached out to shake the junior's hand. But surprisingly Jaemin was more than a stoic figure. When Jisung went to return his handshake the boy smoothly removed them from the air and walked away chuckling.

Just perfect, Jisung pondered while watching the boy disappear from the dim hallway. He's cute and has a good sense of humor. After daydreaming he quickly ran behind the boy, asking if he could walk him home. Jaemin agreed; he was already fond of the boy.

Every Monday Jaemin still anticipated those blue notes slipped into his locker the evening before. And every day they spent their shared lunch periods on the rooftop. Piglet was the name given to Jisung because of his rosy cheeks. Even though he hated his cheeks being pinched he endured it because it was Jaemin, and he loved his sweet touch.

The 100 acre forest where Jaemin was Christopher Robin and Jisung was Piglet were filled with blissful happiness and bountiful laughter. But just two weeks before Jaemin graduated their fantasy world was disrupted.

Jisung couldn't help but feel his heart drop to his feet when that tall figure stood on the rooftop across from the two. The dark haired senior didn't say anything at all. He just quietly waited in the distance for Jaemin to choose.

But you really want me... don't leave....

The universe they created together became void of laughter and little Piglet was now abandoned and alone.

because you hurt me, you still remain with me

but now i have nothing

i don't even have you by my side

Jaemin hated the rain, he hated the cold and he hated that he hurt Jisung. On his graduation day, he stood in the rain for hours just hoping he would come and bid him farewell. But he never showed and Jaemin relived the feeling of those sad eyes watching as he turned his back and walked off the rooftop, their rooftop, with someone else.

Jisung's last blue note began crumbling in Jaemin's hands and tears began stinging his cheek.

He chose the wrong person, and now the one he really loved was gone without a trace.

they say time makes everything better

but nothing changes

it stands still without you
