A new friend Ch. 1

"Hey!"

He flinched, "O..oh.. what?" The girl flicks
her finger on his forehead, "Hurry up and get ready! "

"huh.. For what..?"

"For the trip, duh!"

'Oh shoot, I forgot it's today.!'
The boy hurriedly got up and check his phone. "5:23 am" He says as he went to the bathroom and got ready.

"Is your bag ready?" The girl says as he came out of the bathroom. "Yup." He says excitedly. "Mom is waiting for us at the gate, hurry!" She says. They both packed and got ready of all they need.
Not knowing he was forgetting something he most needed.

"All ready?"

"uh-huh"

They both closed the door and got out, where they were greeted by their mom.
"Looking so fresh both of you!" Their mom says as she hypes them up. "Alright,
ready to have a long trip to meet auntie?"
both of them raised their hands as they shouted, "Yeah!!" All of them went to the car and began to start the trip.

As they were driving, he looks at his sister who was taking pictures. "Noona, let me join your selfies." She looked at him with her eyebrows up, "As if." He scoffs as he shouts, "Huh.! Mom! Noona's being mean again!." She shouts back, "Take a selfie on your own!" He tried to reach for his phone as he scoffs once again, "Yeah I will and I won't put you here-" As he stops.

"Huh..?"
He tried reaching for his phone but he couldn't feel it. 'What the.. where could it be..?' He thought to himself as he was starting to panicked. "Yah, what's wrong. You looked troubled." His sister mutters.

"I think I... left my phone!" His sister laughs, "Are you kidding me? you always remembers to bring mint choco but can't even bring your phone" She continue to laugh. "Shut up.. mint choco has to be with me everywhere I go." She looks at him, "Did you just told your noona to shut up?!" She says as she tickled him.

Laughter was all you could hear in the car. As it ends with their mom telling them to be quiet.

5:57 pm
They finally arrived.
A beautiful countryside. Let alone with a small village. "Uwaah! The sunset is so pretty!" He says as he tried to reach for his phone. "Ah, right.. I don't have my phone..." All of them went out the car and grabbed all of their things. "You see that house over their? That's your auntie's!"
Both of them looked over, "Ohh, it looks so neat." She says as she quickly runs over towards it.

"Ah, noona wait!" He tried to grabbed her but couldn't. "Ah.. she didn't even bring her stuffs." His mom let out a chuckle. "Don't worry, we'll get helps from ya'll uncles. So you both can go first." She says.
"Oh, alright mom. We'll see you there."
He says as he quickly runs after his sister.

*knock knock*

As the door were opened, they were both greeted by hugs and gifts. There were a lot people who camed but good thing he knew them all. They cooked delicious meals, played few games, and met new people at the village. He was able to fit in with the vibe, and at last he had a lot of fun.

"Oh, wanna see the little playground the people here at the village build?" The old woman says. "It's pretty dark out there already, so how about we check that out tomorrow instead?" His sister says. "Can I go tho?" He insisted. "Oho.. you sure are a brave boy." The old woman chuckles. "Alright, it's just behind. Tho it's gonna take a long walk."

"I'm okay with that. I'll just go out for a bit then."

"Be back quick okay?" His mom says.

"Yup, I will."

"Don't be back." His sister says either wise

He sticks out his tounge as he tease his sister. He then heads outside to the back and began to search for this little play ground. "Uwah... it's cold."

All he could see was the way with few street lights on the right side, and on his left where he could see the whole land- scape.

"Ah.. how pretty.."
As he continues to watch the scenery he heard a loud sound.

*Thud*

Suddenly, A huge sound came from a distance. As he came closer, he saw some slides and swings by it. 'Ah, that must be the playground.." As he walked closer, he then saw a boy sitting down. He took a small glance but saw everydetail. The boy was wearing a vest on a blouse, with a side curtain bangs, and a... "Blood..?" He says as he saw blood dripping from the boy's knees.

'Ah! He's hurt!"
He quickly runs toward the boy, "Hey! are you alright?!" The boy was surprised. He hesitated to speak at first but manage to.
"O..oh, yeah."

"Are you sure?? The wound is so big.." He
says as he took out a soft fabric and tide it on the wound. "How'd you get hurt??" He worriedly asked. "I.. I just fell down as I was sliding.." the boy embarrassedly says.
"Ah.. it was probably you when I head a loud thud.." He continues to wipe the blood off of the boy with the tissues he brought.

"Does it still hurts?"

"...."
"..Kinda."

"Seriously .. what are you even doing here sliding at night."

The boy avoids eye contact in embarrassment. "I just.. didn't wanna be at home for a moment.." He looks at the boy who looked like he was about to cry.
'Something probably happened at their house..' He thought to himself. "Well then. here." He says as he hands out a candy to the boy.

The boy hesitates to take it but he eventually did. "This doesn't have some type of poison in it, does it." The boy says.
He lets out a laugh, "Of course not. Here, I'll eat one too." He says as he opened one and ate it. For sure the boy would believe him now.

As the boy then eats it, "Bleh..!" He says as he sticks out his tounge. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Is this mint choco..?" The boy asked. He then nodds in reply. "Ah.. I knew it." He's eyes widened , "You don't like mint choco?"

"I can eat it, but I won't swallow it." The boy says. He laughs.

"You got a whole bag of the candy?!"

"Uh-huh."

"You're crazy."

He laughs once again as the boy laughs with him.

It was a cold night. But it felt warmer with this stranger.
