Worst. Date. Ever.

Last month, I've made my TV debut and received rave reviews from my annoying and obnoxious new boss, Christian. Luckily, I had other things to take my mind off the drama at work - namely, my upcoming first date with Blake, a crew member on my best friend Macy's TV show. I wonder if it would live up to all the hype?

Blake and I had our much-anticipated first date last night, and in a nutshell, all that buildup went burst.

I arrived at the fancy restaurant five minutes early. When I checked my phone, I had a message from Blake saying the shoot had run over and he'd get there as soon as he could. I sat at the bar, ordered a glass of wine, and waited. And waited. And waited some more. After 45 minutes, the hostess informed me that they couldn't hold the reservation any longer. The bartender looked at me with pity, probably thinking I'd been stood up.

One hour and 15 minutes after our original meet-up time, he arrived ... wearing shorts, sneakers and a bandanna.

"I'm sorry I'm late," he said, a little out of breath.

"We lost our table," I told him, more stiffly than I'd meant to.

He apologized again, and then things got awkward. He suggested we walk down the street to find another place. Twenty minutes later, we were seated at a greasy diner, where I felt ridiculously out of place in my strapless white dress and high-heeled red pumps.

We made small talk while we quickly ate, but the conversation never really went anywhere, and there were plenty of uncomfortable silences. After he paid, we started to get up from out booth. But when he bent to pick up my bag for me, he whacked me in the face by mistake on his way up. Really hard, between the eyes.

Blinking back tears, I hurried outside so as not to make a scene. He followed, apologizing profusely.

"It's okay," I assured him, not caring if he believed me or not.

He noted what a bust the date had been, and for the first time that night, we laughed. And I don't know why, but we decided to give it another go this Saturday night. It can't be worse, right?
