3rd person pov:

Aether's eyes slowly fluttered open to the sound of the soft breeze and chirping birds. Yawning softly he had heard the man beside him "Morning love." He spoke in his tired morning voice. "Morning Xiao." Aether quietly said with a slight smile on his face looking up at his loved one. This morning was a peaceful one as they where staying inside of Wangshu inn with the calming breeze both laid in a comfortable silence, Aether resting atop Xiao's chest.

Xiao's pov:

I stared at the ceiling using my hand to softly ruffle the sleepy mans hair, he had such long beautiful bright hair that anyone could admire. It seemed as if he was about to fall asleep once again, so I moved up off the bed to go ask Smiley Yanxiao for some breakfast. It had been awhile since I had asked Yanxiao for anything since I started being with Aether. I had gotten used to Aether's cooking, I had to admit for cooking in the wild so long Aether was really good at cooking. Greeting Smiley Yanxiao I asked for a plate of almond tofu and a small portion of jewelry soup. Smiley Yanxiao had agreed and was suprised to see Xiao there but decided not to say anything and got right on it. 20 minutes later Xiao collected the meals with a slight "Thank you." Ascending back to the twos shared room at the Inn. Tasting the freshly prepared tofu, it had tasted strange since he was used to Aether's almond tofu but none the less still tasted good.
Twisting the door handle and entering the room I was greeted to Aether already getting ready for the day, in his iconic crop top and baggy pants. Aether had smiled once he saw me and motioned him to leave the food on the table as he walked over and gave me a peck on the cheek. Turning myself a bit flushed on the cheeks,but reached up and placed a kiss on Aether's forehead leaving the same effect on Aether's face.

Aether's pov

Hurriedly getting ready I had assumed Xiao went down to grab breakfast, I slapped myself internally, for falling back asleep. Not that I didn't like Smiley Yanxiao's cooking but that I didn't want Xiao to go trough the trouble to grab us breakfast, especially knowing that he isn't the most fond of interacting with others. Suddenly I had heard the door creak as it dragged across the floor I turned my head suddenly to see Xiao. I gestured to him to place the food on the table as I walked over and gave him a peck on the cheek. I could see his face turn a slight pink which I always found cute, he placed a light kiss on my forehead leaving my cheeks flushed, as I slightly jogged over to the table to eat happy that Xiao got me jewelry soup. As I travel I've adapted to any and all foods there were none that I didn't enjoy but as I had it more I had taken a liking to Wangshu Inn's jewelry soup.Xiao also walked down to eat with me and to no surprise he had a plate of almond tofu as always. I slightly chuckled. "How do you never get sick off that?" I asked jokingly still slightly laughing. He just stared at me with the raise of a brow and a slight smile aswell. "Anything wrong with it?" He softly replied as he sat down already half finished his portion. "No not at all! I was just thinking that you'd have to get sick of it at one stage." I felt a bit embarrassed thinking I offended him then hearing a chuckle coming from him as he was already finished.After me and Xiao finished our breakfast we were both ready for the day as Paimon suddenly appeared circling around my head, nagging me on how we had to do our commissions. Xiao had offered to help that I gladly took up on the offer. Tho I didn't need the help Xiao was only on patrol for Liyue during the afternoon since Ganyu covered for him during the morning, so he had time. Besides I wouldn't turn down an opportunity to see my boyfriend tho I do see him most everyday when he's not busy, 'I never realized how busy the adepti are.' I had thought to myself in my head.So with that me and Xiao were walking down the steps of Wangshu Inn, greeting and parting away with Verr Goldet on our way down. Paimon had just left back into her realm not wanting to be a third wheel as me and Xiao walked and chat. Xiao never smiled nor laughed around people but it seemed as when we were alone, he was able to freely express his feelings without a care in the world. That made Aether smile to himself in the calm silence they had as they both ended the subject Xiao knowing that Aether was just thinking about something.

3rd person pov:

Xiao couldn't help but stare at Aether's smile he had such a soft and genuine smile it melted his heart. He quickly looked away as he noticed Aether had saw him staring once again Aether smiled at the embarrassed adeptus. They continued on their journey sometimes getting distracted, which was mainly Aether spotting a cute squirrel or fox to stare at and admire.Xiao never really took time to look at the scenery around him or pay attention to the animals nor breeze but watching Aether do just that gave him a minute to relax. He enjoyed his days out with Aether as they always allowed him to collect himself, before meeting Aether he has never felt nor experienced any of the feelings that he's collected these past few months. There came the first commission which was a simple protect a slime balloon, Aether always found these really annoying as it's more enemies which take longer that you have to protect something while fighting. Xiao could see why it was annoying but it didn't really bother him as with the two of them it was very quick. Then came the second commission where they had to deliver a letter from Liyue Harbour to Qingxin Village which teleport way points made it easier. Aether didn't understand why people couldn't just deliver it themselves like yes it is quite far. But it takes a lot less time then all of the adventures who are doing quadruple of delivering a letter. Then they moved onto the third commission which Aether loved it was probably the easiest just simply taking down the hilichurl towers. Aether had gotten a small scratch on his arm when they left which was totally Xiao's fault. Back when Aether was about to leave after destroying them Xiao had insisted they get rid of all the hilichurls so nobody else gets hurt. One of the mitachurls had given Aether a nasty scratch which was definitely going to get infected. Aether didn't mind he was used to a lot worse I mean he does this everyday but Xiao got quite mad finishing off the rest of the hilichurl camp. While leaving the camp with a grumpy and worried expression. Aether laughed at him and assured him he was fine as they left for the fourth and final commission. They only had to defeat a ruin guard which they were glad they didn't really want to leave it off with a hard commission.Xiao finished if off with two strikes at an impressive speed not even given Aether a chance to attack. Of course Aether knew how fast Xiao was but it was still impressive how fast he could kill monsters, tho in all honesty the adepti had been doing this for all of his life. With that both of them left back to Wangshu Inn fingers interlocked. Xiao was just sharpening his spear when they got back preparing himself for this afternoons lookout.

1388 words!! I am very happy with how this first chapter turned out and be expecting another chapter either tomorrow or the day after! Remember this is my first book so please only constructive criticism 😅
