WHY? NO! WHY? PLEASE STOP PLEASE!

SNAP. The belt cracked down striking her again. Just another mark on her already scarred skin.

What did Cindy do to deserve this? Nothing really.

It is just a typical Wednesday night in the Clain house. Riley had to work late at the office and came home tired and very drunk. Furious at Cindy for no reason at all.

She screamed, yes, but she never fought back, she never left him since the day they got married and everything changed.

While Riley and Cindy were dating he was the perfect gentleman. He got her gifts, took her on romantic trips- they had a relationship that every girl dreams of. So of course when he asked her to marry him she had no reason to say no. I mean, he was perfect... but soon her fairy tale started to crumble as wedding details got more and more frustrating. Riley's true character started to show through, they were arguing all the time, and whenever she started to explain herself he would just get up and walk away. Cindy saw this but like any bride would thought it was just the stress of a wedding. But on their wedding day at the reception when Rileys parents disowned him and cut him off for marrying Cindy, all hell broke loose.

Cindy, being a great bride, pulled him aside so they could talk about it. That's when, for the very first time, he struck her. One slap right across the face: she was so shocked she didn't even cry.

They decided to put it aside temporarily and finish the party. After drinks and socializing with all their friends they went back home to discuss the newly arised money issues but Riley had already cancelled their honeymoon to cut down on cost and closed all Cindy's bank accounts, saying that she was to irresponsible with money and that she had an allowance now. When Cindy started to protest, Riley struck her for the second time that evening. That's when Cindy realized she had married an abuser.

She tried to tell her best friend Rachel but Rachel just laughed and said, "yeah right! You married the perfect guy for you." Cindy thought this to be an insult saying she deserved this. She started to drift away from Rachel, having less and less contact with her. And with Riley barely letting her out of the house, she started to lose all her friends. Soon she was alone with no friends to speak of.

And now ten years latter this abuse is worse than ever. Cindy is pake and sikly from lack of sunlight the only human contact she has is her husband. Her life is the same everyday. She lives on the scedual so neatly posted on the fridge.

And that was her life
