*Storm*

As soon as I was declared the Alpha of Argentum Lunam, I felt something I'd never felt before. Pride- for myself. I'd spent my whole life loathing who I was and hating every decision I'd ever made. But here, now, in this moment, I was proud. Happy. I knew that this was the best thing I've done this far.

Then, something else erupted. A feeling of being drawn towards someone. It was as if I couldn't stand to be away from them, even though I hadn't even seen them yet. I turned my eyes to the direction I felt the pull from, and there, right beside my best friend sat a girl.

She couldn't have been more than 18. If she was, then I would have sensed her as soon as she entered our pack grounds.

It was obvious that she felt the pull too because our eyes were locked. It felt like an eternity before I made a move, though it was only a few seconds at the most. I made my way over to where she sat, never breaking my stare.

I was sure that everyone was staring, but I couldn't have cared less. Once I found myself right in front of her, I almost chuckled at the look on her face. She was absolutely adorable. I leaned in close to her and whispered, "what's your name, flower?"

I heard her breathing hitch, and it sent another swell of pride into me. I didn't even know until it happened, but this reaction was most definitely what I had hoped for.

It took her a second to get her bearings, but once she opened her mouth, it was as if an angel had come down from heaven to speak to me.

"Rora- Uh- I mean... Aurora. Aurora Phoenix..." She whispered back. What a perfectly beautiful name for a perfectly beautiful girl.

"Well, Aurora Phoenix, it is most definitely a pleasure to meet you. I am Storm Canter, Alpha of Argentum Lunam, and your mate." I said, holding out my hand for her to take.

When she put her hand in mine, it sent the most amazing tingles into my hand. From how her eyes widened, I could tell she felt it too.

I pulled her up out of her seat and led her to the front with me. I could already tell she was a bit uncomfortable, but it wouldn't be long.

I turned to face the people seated, all staring intensely, waiting for me to speak.

"Everyone, please welcome Aurora Phoenix as my mate, and the Luna- to-be of Argentum Lunam!" I said, with what I was sure to be the biggest smile I've ever had.

Everyone broke out into another round of applause. Crymson seemed especially excited for me, and my heart was even happier knowing that Crymson was as happy for me as I was.

Aurora seemed uncomfortable, so I said, "And with that, this concludes the Transition Ceremony. Thank you all!"

With that, I pulled Aurora from the front, and rushed towards the building where the reception would be held.

Once I entered, I pulled her closer to me, and, at a loss for words, just stared into her eyes. They were the most beautiful shade of green. So green, it was almost as if they had been painted that color.

Then, she spoke again. "Uhm- Alpha- uh I mean, Storm." She stuttered. Oh my. I felt as if I could pass out then and there when she said my name. It just felt so right.

"Yes, flower?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "Well, uh, my brother is kinda mad that you just stole me... He said, and I quote, 'I'm gonna beat that Storm's ass for taking you'." She told me.

I did just steal her, didn't I? A chuckle left me, and I said to her, "tell him that we are in the reception hall. And that I am sorry for taking you away."

Not even five seconds later, a guy I assumed to be her brother, due to the similarities in their features, burst into the door, dragging a girl alongside him.

Wait- it was Crymson. Why did he have her? She didn't seem to be hurt, but she did seem confused, and her face was bright red. "And might I ask why you have your hands on one of my pack members?" I asked, pushing back the rising anger I felt.

I knew it was irrational, but that didn't stop it from trying to sneak its way in.

"It's none of-" He started, but Crymson cut him off, something that was very out of character. "Oh please. You'll make him angrier than he already is if you say what I think you're gonna say." she said to Aurora's brother.

"This is Apollo Phoenix. Alpha of Sol Aurum-" she said before she was cut off by Apollo. "And her mate," he said with a proud smirk. Wow. Wasn't today just a lucky lucky day.

"Well then, I guess we are even. I stole your sister, and you stole mine." I spoke. It wasn't the full truth, but Crymson was like a sister to me.

This whole time, Aurora hadn't said anything, so I looked over to her staring at her feet. "Are you okay, flower?" I asked her softly. She looked at me and gave me a small smile with a nod.

"I'm fine... just shocked." She told me. That was understandable. Then Apollo spoke up again. "I guess I'll let you slide, since you are Crymson's family. But just know, I'm fighting the urge to deck you right now."

Aurora then laughed. "Ignore him. He is actually a softie." she told me.

We spent the rest of the night was spent laughing and getting to know each other.

One thing I noticed about Aurora almost immediately was that she was very quiet. Any time she chimed into the conversation, it was always because she had been asked something, and her responses were always in a sort of mumble-whisper tone.

I wasn't sure if it was just her natural personality, or if it was something deeper. I wouldn't pry just yet though. I had just met her, and I'm sure that if she wants me to know then she will tell me in her own time.

After almost three hours of laughter, dancing, and food, the reception ended. This was the part I had been dreading. "Okay, I will be taking Aurora home with me so that she can gather her things," Apollo said, getting up from his seat, Aurora standing up as well.

Crymson and I stood as well. "Very unfortunate that you have to leave now. I will see you soon, flower." I said, pulling Aurora's hand up to my lips and kissing her hand softly.

A dark blush colored her face, and she looked away. "I'll see you soon," she said quietly. I sighed softly and let her go. Apollo had also whispered something to Crymson that had her bright red. "I- um, I'll see you soon, Apollo." She stammered.

They left, leaving me and Crymson there. "Your mate is super pretty," Crymson said after a moment of silence. "Yes... yes, she is." I said, grinning at the thought of her. Oh, how I couldn't wait until tomorrow.
